The day we, as a nation, actually debated whether or not torturing people was a
good idea was the day bin Laden won.The rest has just been additional symptoms
of the disease.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of
the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to
drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a
parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can
always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have
to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for
lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

In America, the day the loser of the Presidential
election took office was the day freedom died.
Everything that has taken place since has just been
a reaffirmation.
We're the first generation of Americans to look at the
high cost of freedom and refuse to pay.
Even worse, for the men & women who swore an
oath, for the people on the Supreme Court, in the
government and the military, that "High Cost" was
four or eight years of Al Gore as President.
That was the price that was "Too high."

Strangely enough, both Al Gore and John Kerry
disgree with you as to who won their respective
elections. Why is that, do you think?

I don't know, but Al Gore was on TV just the other

Florida.

Sounds like Gore changed his tune. You're
surprised? He still can't get around the fact that
in 24 of the 25 precincts he lost in Florida,
DEMOCRATS were running the entire voting
process.

You wouldn't understand.
Traitor.
Gore wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit him on the *****.
He's a big cry-baby who wanted a mulligan in a national election and
threw a hissy fit because he didn't get one. A real man would suck it
up & press-on.
I noticed that he didn't feel he was so right that he had a second go
at it. If he truly thought America was behind him why didn't he give
it a second shot?
Short answer, he didn't want to get publicly humiliated again.
Same thing with Kerry, he didn't even have enough faith in himself to
resign from his position while seeking election. If he didn't believe
he was going to win, why would anyone else?
Resigning their office is something most honest men would do so that
their constituents would have good representation while their energies
were focused elsewhere.

Guess old George W. isn't too honest by your definition. He spent most
of the two years he served out of four in his second term as governor of
Texas running for President.
I guess that's a good reason to vote against George Allen in his bid for
re-election as a Senator in Virginia.
Or do you hold Democrats to a higher standard?

Nope same one, but I could really care less what party they belong to.
I judge each based on their merits, not their affiliations.

You're as original as you are insightful.
Now head for the nearest military hospital and give
all the amputees their limbs back. You can't? Your
worship of an election-stealing, draft-dodger-turned-deserter
scarred them for life?
Make sure it's you next time, coward.

It was Gore who tried to steal the election.
It was President Clifford who was a draft dodger.

Buy a new record, this one is broken.
It was me first time jackass. I don't worship jackshit except me &
mine. Just because he rides a different horse doesn't mean he still
isn't a horse thief.
