Rolf Lindgren to File Seven Complaints
at 11 A.M. on Friday morning at the City
County Building in Madison
Complaint # 1
Former Irish Waters employees Vanessa K.
Wheaton and William J. Rogeberg
lied to the Madison Police department.
They said Rolf Lindgren was in the
Irish Waters on Thursday, November 20,
2003. Rolf Lindgren was not in the
Irish Waters on November 20, 2003.
"I was not in the Irish Waters on
Thursday, November 20."
Rolf Lindgren, quoted under oath,
October 1, 2004.
Complaint # 2
Madison police officers Kraig Knutson,
Mike Ott, and Oleg Ivchenko lied
to Rolf Lindgren on Wednesday, November
26, 2003. Knutson, Ott, and
Ivchenko said they had a videotape
of Rolf Lindgren stealing $50 from the
Irish Waters. The police officers
did not have a videotape of Rolf
Lindgren stealing $50.
"They just told me they had a videotape
of me stealing $50. They said
this over and over and over again. At
least 30 times they told me this."
Rolf Lindgren, quoted under oath,
October 1, 2004.
Complaint # 3
Knutson, Ott, Ivchenko, Wheaton and
Rogeberg all collaborated to
false-arrest Rolf Lindgren, deny
Lindgren his civil rights, and file a
false police report. Rolf Lindgren
saw Knutson, Ott, Ivchenko, Wheaton
and Rogeberg in front of a monitor.
These people knew that Rolf Lindgren
did not steal $50 because they watched
a videotape of someone else
stealing the $50.
"Why would I steal $50? I could lose my job
over this. I could lose my career."
Rolf Lindgren, quoted in Isthmus, May 6, 2005.
"If I were a black person, I'd be charging racism.
What are they saying,
'All white people look alike?' "
Rolf Lindgren, quoted in Wisconsin State Journal, May 5, 2005.
Complaint # 4
The interrogation of Rolf Lindgren was
excessive, given the nature of the
alleged crime. Because of an alleged
$50 theft, Lindgren was subjected to
a brutal, 2-hour psychological
interrogation.
"I was under a brutal psychological interrogation."
Rolf Lindgren, quoted under oath, October 1, 2004.
Complaint # 5
Prosecutor Jay Mimier charged Rolf Lindgren
with the crime of stealing
$50, although Mimier knew Lindgren did not
commit the crime. Mimier left
the charges pending for well over a year.
Mimier knew Lindgren did not
commit the crime because Mimier had a video
of someone else committing
the crime.
"The prosecutor in this case has known
since the beginning of this case
that I didn't commit this crime."
Rolf Lindgren, quoted in the Capital
Times, April 25, 2005.
Complaint # 6
Prosecutor Mimier yelled "Horseshit!"
in Rolf Lindgren's face on Monday,
February 28, 2005. This occurred in the
City County building in the
hallway outside of Judge Flanagan's
courtroom and was witnessed by
Sharman Moen of Mount Horeb.
"I asked prosecuting attorney Jay Mimier,
why the State was continually
delaying my trial. In the hallway outside
the courtroom, in the presence
of many people, Mimier yelled at me;
Horseshit!' "
Rolf Lindgren, quoted in an
email he sent on March 4, 2005.
Complaint # 7
Someone from the email address
bmccormack@wi.rr.com sent Rolf Lindgren a
very threatening email on Wednesday,
November 19, 2003. The email said it
was from Brenda McCormack and was
signed Patrick McCormack of Milwaukee.
The emailer threatened to attack
Recall Doyle petition collectors.
"Dear assh*le,
Do you f*ck*rs really think you're going
to steal another election? F*ck
you. F*ck your mother. F*ck your children
and any one else associated
with your f*ck*d up ideas. Suck my d*ck
you jerk off. If I see one of you
assh*l*s passing a recall petition,
I'm going to kick him in the b*lls
and rip up the petition. If you're
looking for confrontation you're going
to get it. This is not a threat, this is a promise.
Patrick McCormack
Milwaukee"
Text of an email received by Rolf
Lindgren on November 19, 2003, and
edited for profanity.
Supporting documents and materials
available upon request. The $50 reward
to catch the alleged thief is still
unclaimed. Rolf Lindgren's legal
bills have now reached $17,000 because
of this incident. Rolf Lindgren
may be contacted at 608-279-5889.
