I'm looking for the source of a television interview of Maya Angelou
in which she spoke a little about 9/11 and terrorism. She mentioned
watching a speech Bush gave (I don't know what date, or even year)
when many US citizens were wondering what they could do to help in a
time of trauma and trouble, and being shocked when he suggested people
go out and shop, or something like that.
I've searched through Google and news archives, but the interview
transcript may be owned by a TV station that doesn't put such things
on the net free of charge.
(I did find lots of talk about whether or not Bush told people to go
shopping, about a 2006 speech telling people to feel safe traveling,
shopping, going to Disney World, etc., but I'm only interested in
Angelou's comments in this interview specifically, not the controversy
about what he said and when.)
Thanks.
