(Urbelis) to take him to the penal infirmary for he was suffering of =

stomach pains but the officer refused to do so"- pointed out to

According to a report from the Bureau of Information and Press of the =
Pro
Human Rights Party of Cuba affiliated to the Andrei Sajarov =
Foundation, the
prisoner was urgently transferred to the infirmary by a guard by the =
name of
(Osmanis), after spending more than 40 hours suffering in agony. Once =
in
the infirmary and after two hours of being medicated Horacio's blood
pressure was still 150 with 100.

The 37 year old Cuban citizen Horacio Julio Pi=F1a Borrego, promoter =
of the
Varela Project and delegate of the Pro Human Rights Party of Cuba =
affiliated
to the Andrei Sajarov Foundation in Pinar del R=EDo province, was =
detained on
March 19, 2003, at his home on Clodoveo Pedroso Street # 136, in the
locality "Las Martinas" in the municipality of Sandino in the province =
of
Pinar del R=EDo, and in April of that same year, sentenced to 20 years =
in
prison along with 74 more members of the Cuban society who were =
unjustly
sentenced under crimes committed under the Law 88.

According to internet data, provided by the Commission for Human =
Rights and
National Reconciliation in their quarterly report of 2004, there are =
about
317 Cuban prisoners confined in more than 200 prisons in the Island,
sanctioned for committing so-called crimes against the State and/or =
crimes
involving the State.
