Barbara Bush Aids in Social Security Fight
By DEB RIECHMANN
PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) -
President Bush, needing more converts to his plan for Social Security
reform, brought his mom to help with the sales pitch Friday.
Wearing her trademark pearls, Barbara Bush took the stage with the
president and another of her sons, Gov. Jeb Bush. George W. Bush
opened the program by reassuring people born before 1950 that their
Social Security benefits would not change.

From the belly of the beast.
"But why should we hear about body bags, and deaths, and how many,
what day it's gonna happen, and how many this or what do you suppose?
Or, I mean, it's, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my
beautiful mind on something like that? And watch him suffer." -
Barbara Bush on "Good Morning America," March 18, 2003.
You remember ole Babs Bush doncha?
From Rolling Stone
A prominent Republican is less kind: "Barbara Bush is an exceedingly
vindictive, nasty individual with a very high opinion of herself.
She's always been that way."
