More Bush Connections to Smear Ads
While aides to President Bush continue to claim "we weren't involved
in any way in these ads" (1 against Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) by Swift
boat vets, more evidence emerged yesterday to disprove those denials.
First, the Washington Post reports that a "top lawyer in President
Bush's reelection campaign acknowledged that he has been advising the
veterans group."
Benjamin L. Ginsberg, the "chief outside counsel to the Bush campaign"
admitted "I've done some work for" the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.
(2
Ginsberg has long been a top adviser to Bush.
The LA Times reports he represented the Bush campaign in 2000 and
became a prominent figure during the Florida recount.
In the current presidential campaign, his law firm has been paid
$256,635 for his services (3 by the Bush campaign.
That figure does not include any cash Ginsberg made in his work with
the Swift Boat Veterans.
Additionally, the Dallas Morning News yesterday reported that the man
bankrolling the smear ads is hosting President Bush's top political
adviser at a fundraiser in New York during the Republican National
Convention.
Robert Perry, the top Bush-Cheney fundraiser who is financing the
Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ads, "is listed as the co-host" of an
event whose guest list includes Karl Rove on September 1. (4
This news follows revelations earlier this week that one of the
veterans smearing Kerry in the ads is actually a member of the
Bush-Cheney campaign. (5
It also follows news that the Bush-Cheney campaign headquarters in
Florida is distributing fliers promoting the group smearing Kerry. (6

Careful Harry.
All of the connections the Democrats are pointing out Bush via Swift Vets,
Kerry and his Dems have the same types of connections to the 527's
supporting Kerry.
Interesting that Kerry still won't denounce the all 527's. But then, Kerry
might figure that since his 527's have a couple 100 million dollars
involved, he'd ***** off some powerful people if he denounces them. Since
the Swift Boat Vets are low budget (less than 500 thousand dollars), Kerry
hoped Bush won't mind denouncing them.
Amazing. Kerry sure has guts thinking he can get Bush to denounce an
anti-Dem 527 while knowing full well the anti-GOP 527's are 500 times better
financed and far more vocal. I just can't figure out how Kerry figures Bush
should denounce the anti-Dem 527 without Kerry having to denounce all of the
anti-GOP 527's.
Unless of course Kerry is simply making the challenge to Bush for purely
publicity reasons. This considering its' most likely Kerry knows full well
that Kerry and Bush can't legally say anything to any 527 organization. Not
legally, that is. Of course, that never stopped Kerry before, did it?

Which square completely with Kerry's threats of lawsuits against TV
stations that would run swiftboat ads; which also completely squares
with Kerry's calling for the publisher of the swiftboat book to stop
printing it; which also squares with Bush's (ill advised) call to ban

Yeah, I guess that DOES sound like John Fraude Kerry, now that you mention
it.......
The real problem here is the nonstop lies promoted by SBV'T',

No, the real problem is that Kerry told MULTIPLE lies and whoppers, and he
got caught.
A somewhat lesser problem is that Kerry foolishly decided to make those
multiple lies and whoppers the very centerpiece of his presidential
campaign.
Oh yeah, and to pretend he dislikes the lies ads while actually
he is cheering them on.
In that case, Kerry must be a VERY happy man indeed, because the donations
are now pouring in to the Swiftboat Veterans For Truth at a very rapid pace
indeed, and they have already announced they have new ads in the pipeline
and will be running them in the battleground states where Kerry desperately
needs to win.
So Kerry must be very, very pleased indeed, since he is (according to you)
"cheering them on".
Frankly, your John Kerry is starting to make Howard Dean look sane.

Nixon stopped it because of pressure from mental midgets like John
