My fellow Americans, Once again our nation is under attack... |
New Orleans and the surrounding Gulf Coast have been devastated by a
terrorist strike, the likes of which the world has never seen.
Responsibility for this atrocity has been claimed by a previously
unknown terrorist cell, calling itself "Mother Nature." Little is
known at this stage about Mother Nature. However, it seems likely that
Mother Nature has been living among us for many years, deviously
avoiding detection by our intelligence services, biding its time and
waiting for an opportunity to strike.
From what we do know, it is clear that Mother Nature possesses
weapons of mass destruction, capable of targeting American cities. The
sophistication of its weaponry and the detail that has gone into its
planning, suggests possible links between Mother Nature and Al Qaeda.
Furthermore, it is clear that a terrorist operation of this magnitude
could not be carried out without considerable funding, most likely from
Iran or North Korea.
My fellow Americans, you may be asking yourselves "why do they hate us
so much?" The answer is that Mother Nature envies our freedom. Mother
Nature wishes to prevent the spread of our democratic system to all the
nations and peoples of the world. Mother Nature wishes to destroy our
cities and our industries. It is no coincidence that Mother Nature
targeted this attack at the very heart of America's oil production and
refining industry.
I have a very clear message to send to Mother Nature on behalf of the
American people. Mother Nature, you can run but you cannot hide!
Wherever you go, we will hunt you down. To the civilized democracies
of the world, I say, you are either with us or with Mother Nature! If
you value your freedom, if we are to protect our shared values, you
must join us in this crusade. Together, we must root out Mother
Nature's infrastructure!
God bless our SUVs.

God bless our SUVs ?
Why not ... The Pop blessed 50 Ferraris !
This used to be called an "Act of God"
Bush must investigate and let the world know the truth, after all he
communicates with God twice a day
Once the Vatican purchased a few short wave transmitters from RCA and
one of the conditions of sale was for the equipment to be insured for
"Acts of God" not "Mather Nature".

Haven't you heard there was talk of a memo being found whereby some high
government official wrote he attended a meeting with Bush and is
convinced Bush planned for Katrina to happen.

Since hurricane's are a common event in that area, I guess everyone
should "plan" for them to happen. However, I'm fairly sure the Bush's
were not even in the area when the builders of New Orleans decided that
being below sea level between a lake and the ocean was a good thing .....

That goes back to the Pirate era of New Orleans. But it's also worth
noting that since that time the levees and drying out of the below sea
level area has led to further subsidence and meanwhile sea level has
risen.
The Mississippi actually is working very hard to shift it's channel
away from the Port of New Orleans and the Corps has spent billions to
keep it in its channel.
I suggest a read of John McPhee's "The Control of Nature" for a
glimpse at the folly and expense of keeping New Orleans a viable port.

are [a] few other Texas oil millionaires, and an
occasional politician or business man from other
areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."

those who speak of NO being built below sea level do not understand that
during the historical settlement of NO it was not below sea level.

Originally, NO was built upon the "natural Levees" made by silt buildup
from the Mississippi River. As the city expanded, buildings were built
further inland, on lower ground than the surrounding water levels.
Artificial levees were built to create more usable land. For more info,

The levees raised the river bed to produce a NO below the level of the river
and the lake. These levees were built because the upriver levees were bult
higher and higher putting the river higher and higher above the level it was
when NO was settled.

Those exact circumstances have put Sacramento, California's delta area at
high risk for flooding. Rather than allow the river its natural meander,
levees were built to (1) create rich farmland, and (2) in a misguided
attempt to contain the river. Results: the river bottom contains the silt
usually deposited on surrounding lands; The silt causes the river to run
higher and faster; All of the farmland and homes protected by levees, now
lie below river level, in constant peril of storm-driven breach.

Incredible how the Blacks of New Orleons did a better job of spreading
insurrection than the war torn Iraqis.
