Who said anything about logic. Now you brought it in...you think there is
much logic in politics? What there is is always consistant to a certain
premise... 'I am right and you are wrong'. Politics only uses logic to
support that premise. Thats why Churchill could say he was saving the
Empire. The Empire was at risk of Germany ...therefore anything he did to
save it was justified. Thats logical. You want to fault his.logic?
Churchill is a perfect case study in the relevance of the 'belief' in
rightness over logic. It doesn't have to be empirically right...if there is
such a thing. It just has to be *believed* to be right.
Logically it was sound to defeat communism. It was anathema to the Empire.
Hitler admired the British for being so powerful with so little an army. He
was desperate not to go to war with Britain. And yet Churchill thought he
was an enemy and pursued his argument in the House for years. Churchill
though thought he was *right*. And when 'discussions' failed...boom....he
was right. There is the dilemma. It was against logic.
Communism was the enemy...and he helped the enemy.
Then...Churchills brilliance really showed in 1944. He gave fucking Poland
away to Stalin. Brilliant ! The very place he took us war on. Brilliant
Churchill. Then we still had Communism to fight for the next fifty fucking
years. And who eventually broke them...The Americans...again!
And then the coup de gras....Churchill had to hand the Empire trade
agreements over to the America as compo for getting him out of the *****.
Brilliant. But he won...its in the books.

And now that they've had to pull out, handing power ther over to agents of
the former regime, they've given heart not only to the Sunni insurgents
and Baathists, but also to the Shiah insurgents. So what the ***** was the
point in that? Petty revenge?

The public relations side I admit has been a disaster. Its hard dealing
with hysteria . Wogs are not disciplined Germans or Japs. I've been there.
You would never believe they were ever civilized in the past. Their culture
is hysterical by nature. You have to wonder what happened to reduce them to
such a level after seeing what they were once capable of.
And its not the terrible British who did it. When the British were
removing machine tools from factories in Germany in 1945 as booty for the
use in Britain, the Germans were waiting at the doors for them to be taken
out...and had brand new up to the minute NEW ONES to put in the same place.
The rules said only existing machinery...not new ones to be taken. See the
difference in brain power? But the wogs have nothing behind their ears but
blame.
But the country had to be cleared of Saddam so it couldn't be used again as
a base for terrorism. Some more are going to have to be taken out when the
dust settles and the carriers reloaded. This is becoming a massive war.
Don't kid yourself its just a conflict between George Bush against the Arab
World. Its all of us against the Arab world. You can try blaming and
argue over who started it going back to Balfour and beyond but reasoning and
logic wont change anything from now on. The arguments will go on for years
unless there is a total ban on television coverage of the war. Don't think
this won't happen. I can remember when free democratic Britain was bolted
down.
So while you can vent your spleen on who did what and to whom. Convince
yourself you are right. But once those twin towers were brought by the wogs,
they are now history. Like the Japs found out.

In my country wog has been used to describe Italian imigrants. It was
used as a slur in the 1950's, however the term has become a badge of
honor since about the 1980's.
When I heard you talk about the cowardice of 'wogs' I assumed that you
were refering to the end of WW2 when many Italin troops realising that
the allies would ultimately win over the Axis alliance turned away
from the battlefield and returned home.
While I disagree with much that you say, it would seem that I
misunderstood your words.

You are entitled to your views Stan but I ask that you apologise for
your comments regarding 'wogs'.
I had no idea Italians were refered to as wogs as well. I always thought
Western Oriental Gentlemen were wogs. That's where it came from...anyone
wearing a nightie and a nappy round his head.
In Australia "wogs" has been used in reference to many immigrant groups
- most particularly Italians and Greeks. It has become a badge of honour
among many first generation kids/young adults. The stage play "Wogs Out
of Work" and numerous spin-off TV shows have pandered to this quite
successfully.
Would you have been as brave?
No...I don't think so. He was brave. My sympathies for his family. His
bravery helps make my heart burn to see Islam vanquished somehow from the
face of the earth. The soviet agents in America who call themselves
'Liberals' (a pox on them) have defeated Christianity in American society in
thirty years. I hope we can do the same to Islam in the same time.

The only "terrorism" that Hussein had anything to do with was that of
nationalistic movements like the PLO, whose prime target is Israel. Xplain
what that has to do with the US, or moreover, my country Australia.
If that's your rationale for the Iraq war, it's bollocks anyway. The
stated reason for invading Iraq was to rid saddam of his non existent
WMDs. American *snort* intelligence assured everybody, including our
government, that he had vast stockpiles of them.
They've since retrospectively changed the rationale to "liberating"
the Iraqis and bringing democracy to the middle east. Sounds nice an
noble, except that they're making a complete pig's breakfast out of that
too, by indulging in and killing helpless civilians en masse - which you
try to justify on the basis of revenge!
Why are we still following the lead of these incompetent cowboys?
Some more are going to have to be taken out when the dust settles and
the carriers reloaded. This is becoming a massive war.
A war which our American friends are taking every step to lose. You want

I agree. Fine. They should let us in the west do the same and not fly
planes into our buildings and try and blow us up and try and change our life

Oh what crap. The Nazis killed millions of Russians in WW2. Did
they win? The Americans killed hundreds of thousands in Vietnam, did they

The public relations side I admit has been a disaster. Its hard dealing
with hysteria . Wogs are not disciplined Germans or Japs. I've been there.
You would never believe they were ever civilized in the past. Their culture
is hysterical by nature. You have to wonder what happened to reduce them to
such a level after seeing what they were once capable of.
And its not the terrible British who did it. When the British were
removing machine tools from factories in Germany in 1945 as booty for the
use in Britain, the Germans were waiting at the doors for them to be taken
out...and had brand new up to the minute NEW ONES to put in the same place.
The rules said only existing machinery...not new ones to be taken. See the
difference in brain power? But the wogs have nothing behind their ears but
blame.

You can try blaming and
argue over who started it going back to Balfour and beyond but reasoning and
logic wont change anything from now on. The arguments will go on for years
unless there is a total ban on television coverage of the war. Don't think
this won't happen. I can remember when free democratic Britain was bolted
down.
So while you can vent your spleen on who did what and to whom. Convince
yourself you are right. But once those twin towers were brought by the wogs,
they are now history. Like the Japs found out.
