Object: Nancy Pelosi on Saddam's WMD, Failure to Disarm
"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware
that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue
of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in
the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a
threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the
weapons inspection process."

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (Democrat, California)
Also a member of the House Intelligence Committee
Statement on US Led Military Strike Against Iraq

You left off this part from her statement:

Nothing was left off, it's called an excerpt...

"While I support the President, I hope and pray that this conflict can be
resolved quickly and that the international community can find a lasting
solution through diplomatic means. "

Why did you leave that out?

Because it was irrelevant. Obviously, the conflict could not be
"resolved quickly" and "the international community" could not "find a
lasting solution through diplomatic means" because Saddam continued to
blow off UNSC Resolutions for another FIVE YEARS, and would have been
doing so today had he not been brought into compliance by force in
March 2003.

Uh, it wasn't left off? Then why did you fail to quote that portion? It's
called quoting out of context to give the appearence of a different meaning
to the actual quote...

"While I support the President, I hope and pray that this conflict can

Why did you leave that out?

Because it was irrelevant.

Irrelevant? Clinton was advocating a diplomatic solution, NOT WAR!

Well, the policy of sanctions, inspections and diplomacy WORKED. Saddam had
no WMD after 1998.

You see, that's how excerpts work, you cite the relevant portions.

Nothing was "out of context." No meanings were changed.
Congresswoman Pelosi stated:
1) As a member of the House Intelligence Committee she was keenly
aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons
is an issue of grave importance.
2) Saddam Hussein had been engaged in the development WMD.
3) Saddam Hussein made a mockery of the weapons inspection
process.

Clinton who? This is Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi discussing Saddam's
WMD and his failure to disarm. You need to stop sniffing glue.

No, that's how misquotes work, you leave off the relevant portions.

Nothing was "out of context." No meanings were changed.
Congresswoman Pelosi stated:

So leaving out her advocating diplomacy, sanctions and inspections over
going to war isn't changing the context?

1) As a member of the House Intelligence Committee she was keenly
aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons
is an issue of grave importance.

And she advocated diplomacy, sanctions and inspections over going to War.

2) Saddam Hussein had been engaged in the development WMD.

3) Saddam Hussein made a mockery of the weapons inspection
process.

And she advocated diplomacy, sanctions and inspections over going to War.

Your wishful thinking will not change these facts:

And she advocated diplomacy, sanctions and inspections over going to War.
Your wishful thinkging that she advocated Bush's failed strategy of War will
not change these facts!

No, that's how misquotes work, you leave off the relevant portions.

You are wrong if the excerpt quotes all
of the relevant data, which it did according
to the subject of the thread.
When you are discussing the Second Amendment
to the US Constitution, do you quote the entire
Constitution, or just the relevent parts?
Just admit your error and move on. We all
make errors, and it takes courage to admit
it.

No, you left off the reason for those statements which was to support
continued sanctions, inspections and diplomatic solutions as oppossed to
War!

LOL, just admit you're throwing in a "Red Herring" rather than admit YOUR

This will be my last post. You have been
shown the error of your ways, yet you
continue to defend the defenseless.
What you posted was not a "reason" for
the statement posted. Nice try, but no
banana.

From the rest of your response, I can
understand how this could be beyond your
ability to comprehend.

I guess Nancy read the same false intelligence reports that Powell and Condi
read.
Refresh my memory: How many WMD's have been found in Iraq so far?
ROTFLMAO!
America will kick Bush to the curb in November. Get used to it, and start
writing your letter of apology for all of your lies.

deliciously self-incriminating irony.
I'd explain the irony of your statement to you; but it's obvious that you
