'Nanny Problem' Forces Kerik to Withdraw
WASHINGTON (AP) --
Bernard Kerik, New York City's former top cop, withdrew his name from
consideration to be President Bush's homeland security secretary, a
victim of the embarrassing "nanny problem" that has killed the
nominations of other prominent officials.
The surprise move late Friday sends Bush back in search of a Cabinet
official to help guard the nation against another terrorist attack.

Kerik's withdrawal gave me the first thing I've had to cheer about for quite
a while. He is fundamentally unsuited for much of anything, and whatever
halfass reason he wants to give for backing out is fine with me.

Nanny problems?! This is as absurd as Jeff Skilling's
claim that he resigned to spend more time with his family.

And/or employment taxes were not paid.
But this is just the public reason. The white house is not mentioning his
$6M windfall profit in Taser stock options he earned in 2 years - part of
which he spen traingin Iraqi policment in the use of Tasers, his profound
failure in Iraq ( it is the troops and police that he trained that are
deserting), the NYC police and prison scandals under his administration, the
arrest warrant out for him for not paying his bills, and so much more.
