U.S. NATIONAL DEBT CLOCK
http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 11 Nov 2005 at
03:33:47 PM GMT is:
$8,078,955,594,200.04
Eight trillion, seventy eight billion, nine hundred fifty five million,
five hundred ninety four thousand, two hundred dollars and four cents.
The estimated population of the United States is 297,678,696
so each citizen's share of this debt is $27,139.85.
[yeah, right. Not!]
The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$3.48 billion per day since September 30, 2005!
It's official: as of October 18th, the National Debt has
risen to over eight trillion dollars.
Incidentally, it was back in December 2003,
less than two years ago, that the Debt surpassed
a "mere" seven trillion dollars.

How many poor Africans could we feed with that money? We probably could
turn Africa into the bread basket of the world. Oh well. Those poor
suffering folks at Halliburton has to pay their bills too.
