wheelchair-bound man who threatened them with scissors.
Police say they responded to a domestic violence all at a home where
the man got into an argument with his girlfriend, then threw a soda can
at her 13-year-old daughter.
Police say the man resisted officers and threatened them.
The man's name was not released. He was taken to jail, but no charges
were immediately filed

Now, lets be "equal" here. All the libs here, as part of their world
view, would hold that the handicapped have the same rights and
capabilities as anyone else, other than free parking. In fact, everyone
else has to make possible logistically, that a handicapped person has
the same ability and access to anything the nonhandicapped have. This
is afterall, the law, and multiple successful lawsuits covering such are
adequately recorded. For anyone to imply this person in the wheelchair
was less capable than anyone else of harming anyone, including the cop,
only shows you are succumbing to stereotypes and are being insensitive.
In other words, quit whining; a person in a wheelchair can be as
deadly as one on their feet and this has nothing to do with anything
else. If the cop abused his use of a taser here, he'll be called on it
and will deserve what he gets in court; otherwise, let it go.

Cops, btw, love the taser, as they get to see the perp twitch.
They get all pumped up by a training video of a bull that is brought
down by one.
As well, at least around these parts, they all have to get stung by one
so they know what it's like to receive a blast. They first boast to each
other they'll be able to 'withstand' the blast, but then when they go
down, they all laugh about it.
After that, they strap the thing on their belt, and are 'just waiting'
to blast some perp. One even said to me, "I can't wait till I use it!"

As for what to do about they guy in the wheel chair, there are other
options; including calling a medic to blast the guy with some Haldol.
