Michael Reagan: Dean 'Should Be Hung'
Michael Reagan, son of the late President Ronald Reagan, is blasting
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean for declaring that
the U.S. won't be able to win the war in Iraq, saying Dean ought to be
"hung for treason."
"Howard Dean should be arrested and hung for treason or put in a hole
until the end of the Iraq war!" Reagan told his Radio America audience
on Monday.

Harry: what can be said in favor of Dean's comment?
He sees preemptive surrender as the proper course.....to get the
Democrats back in the White House and to hell with our Republic.

Hello,
It could be said that Dean was echoing comments made by Bush, last
year:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5866571/
President Bush: I have never said we can win it in four years.
Lauer: So I'm just saying can we win (the war)?
President Bush: I don't think you can win it.

I think you are as wrong as anyone could be.
When the bush adminsitration lied to drive this Nation to war it said "to
hell with our Republic".
When the bush administration ran up a national debt our grandchildren will
have a hard time paying off, it said, "to hell with our Republic".
When the bush administration spent hundreds of billions on the Dept of
homeland Sucurity that does not work it said, "to hell with our Republic".
When the bush administration mismanaged it own Whitehouse so badly that the
name of one of our CIA assets was compromised along with her mission and her
fellows, it said, "to hell with our Republic".
When the bush adminstaion did not read PDB in August of 2001 and went on
vacation instead of working, it said, "to hell with our Republic".
When GW Bush ignored Katrina for 3 full days, he said, "to hell with our
Republic".
When GW Bush decided not to veto one spending bill from our congress, he
said, "to hell with our Republic".
I could list more, but before you bash Mr Deans right to freedom of speech,
and before you and Reagan march him to the gallows, make sure you have all
the rest of the people who said, "to hell with our Republic" go with him.

So Bush was wrong and Dean and the Deperate Extremist Liberals are wrong.
The Liberals are trying to hand America another defeat just like they
did in Viet Nam.
What would be the outcome for Iraq, Iraquis, America, and our Military
if we surrendered? Surrender is what Dean is saying anyway you phrase it.

Surrender? Screw you. Nobody said a thing about "surrender" except Repugs.

Try to Define "Winning" the war in Iraq.
I dare you.

I think the unspoken victory plan is to keep the slush fund (disguised
as a war) going as long as possible. According to those I correspond
with who are serving over there right now, the only people that really
want us to keep this thing going are the Contractors. And they REALLY
want this thing to keep going.
I would love to see a peaceful democracy form in Iraq, but the much
more likely reality is an elected Shii theocracy, followed shortly by
the cecession of Kurdistan and a civil war betwen the remaining Shii's
and Sunnis. In the end, the happiest people of all will be Iran and
the Kurds. At least I can feel good for the Kurds, sitting on all that
oil in Kirkuk, they're going to make out like bandits.
Perhaps our government has had the forsight to realize that we will
have groomed a very strong, oil rich allie in Kurdistan. The only
problem will be how to get it out of there. Turkey hates the Kurds,
and the feeling is mutual. The southern Shii's who control the south
will be every bit as likely to stand with Iran, in opposition to us,
than to allow the oil of cecessionist Kurdistan to flow through their
ports.

That's beside the point. A fairly influential public commentator is
calling for an American citizen to be *executed* for publicly
expressing his opinion about the actions of the government. No matter
what the merits of Dean's comments, it's hard to imagine anything more
un-American than that.

The 1st Amendment doesn't call for unfetterd free speech, it calls for
socially responsible free speech. That's why there are restrictions on free

Speech that gives aid and comfort to the enemy 'is' anti-American and deserves
to be called treasonous. Whether the government acts to punish such
anti-American behavior is another matter.

Wrong, of course. Treason, according to the Constitution, requires that
one "adhere" to the enemy and then provide aid and comfort. Speech, of
itself, can't by that definition provide aid and comfort to the enemy.

What Americans think...CNN Poll today:
CNN Poll today:
Can the United States 'win' the war in Iraq?
Yes, within two years 14% 25,100 votes
Yes, but a long haul 25% 46,184 votes
No 62% 114,251 votes
Total: 185,535 votes
Most Americans are smarter than the president.
87% say either *NO* or a long time........
Bush, Jr, loser, liar, and incompetent will ask congress
for another $100 billion for Iraq while New Orleans is ignored

All AlQuaeda has to do is what North Viet Nam finally did. Wait on
America to surrender: to go home.
This is what Dean is saying. He wants to do what the Kerryites did to
Nam and America.

That's beside the point. A fairly influential public commentator is
calling for an American citizen to be *executed* for publicly
expressing his opinion about the actions of the government. No matter
what the merits of Dean's comments, it's hard to imagine anything more
un-American than that.

Not in the good ole days.
Back when men were men and women respected them, neo-commies would have been
clubbed (figuratively) like baby seals for what their doing to undermine a
president at war..
What we need today is another General Patton, not a Patton Leather Pimp like
John Fing Kerry, Al Flower Child Gore or Jimmy Commie Giveaway Carter.
You neo-commies will be the fall of America if ever elected back into power!!!

The Bush administration is, of course, preoccupied with the Middle East, and
this drives media coverage of foreign affairs. But voices are struggling to be
heard in the media about the communist danger and potential terrorist threat we
face just south of the border.

Like this?
http://www2.townonline.com/braintree/opinion/view.bg?articleid=301186
Here are a few patriotic comments from those patriots in charge of
America, as well as others from the patriotic far right.
---
"You can support the troops but not the president."
---Rep Tom Delay (R-TX)
"Well, I just think it's a bad idea. What's going to happen is they're
going to be over there for 10, 15, maybe 20 years."
---Joe Scarborough (R-FL)

"Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may
come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their
life?"
---Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/6/99
And how about those announcements of pulling 20 or 30 thousand troops?
Gee, that must be cheering up the terrorists!

John Fing Kerry, Al Flower Child Gore or Jimmy Commie Giveaway Carter.
