Neanderthal Genome Project Launches
BERLIN (AP) --
U.S. and German scientists on Thursday launched a two-year project to
decipher the genetic code of the Neanderthal, a feat they hope will
help deepen understanding of how modern humans' brains evolved.
Neanderthals were a species that lived in Europe and western Asia from
more than 200,000 years ago to about 30,000 years ago.
Scientists from Germany's Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary
Anthropology are teaming up a company in Connecticut to map the
genome, or DNA code.

The project should begin with George W. Bush and family.

This is such a lame comment; it may be funny for a 5th grader. It shows the
length Hopeless will go to in order to criticize Bush.

Actually neanderthals are with us to this day. Look at Cheney, he's got
prominent brow ridges and he doesn't say much. Then there's the rest of the
administration. Geez, take a look at FEMA, neanderthal to the bone.

Neanderthals had about 100cc greater brain mass than modern humans. Their
brains appear to have been organized differently than modern humans, with
larger parietal lobes, the portion of the brain that processes dimensional
space. They could probably dance far better than Bush. There is a good
chance they could whip Bush's ***** at chess or checkers. They (Neanderthals)
had less brain mass in the tempro-frontal area where modern human speech
centers are located, so we can assume they were awkward with language. The
Bush family seems to have a similar problem. Neanderthals are known to have
honored their dead, which points to higher moral standards than the Bush
clan.

Although I sometimes think the Bush defects are genetic, I'm usually
inclined to think that Babs drank too much and dropped them on their
heads. That love of booze is genetic, of course.
