This is obviously going to be the dirtiest, most viscious campaign
ever. We have all seen it coming. Bush is not going to be able to talk
about health care, the economy, the environment, the war in Iraq, e.t.c.
EVERYTHING Bush has done has been an absolute disaster. EVERYTHING. So
these guys can not stand the scrutiny of intelligently discussing any
issue at all. So the nasty personal attack politics is going to be
their modus operandi, as it always is with their kind.
This time around, they have paid some mentally disturbed Vietnam
veterans to scream and yell and accuse Sen. Kerry of getting his medals
by cheating. Isn't this childish?
This story might have had some validity, except that the Bushies did the
same exact thing to Sen. John McCain in the 2000 primary. They did the
same exact thing to Sen. Max Cleland, a triple amputee Vietnam veteran,
where they accused him of being anti-American also. And then there were
those infamous "Willie Horton" ads which Bush sr. used against Michael
Dukakis, back in 1988. They never discuss issues, it's always about
highly charged, highly emotional personal attacks against good people.
This is how Republicans operate.
How much did the Repugs pay this guy, "Medical Officer" Lewis Letson?
He has suddenly come out of nowhere, from out of the blue, to say that
he treated John Kerry. And he says that Kerry did not deserve his first
Purple Heart medal. Although, the medical records show that in all
likelihood, this "Medical Officer" did not treat John Kerry. Another
Doctor signed the treatment record for the wounds that led to Kerry's
first Purple Heart.
All surviving members of Kerry's crewmates are supporting John Kerry.
Those who know nothing about Kerry, the Republican veterans who are
being paid to trash Kerry, they were not there with John Kerry, they
know nothing about Kerry, except what they were brainwashed to parrot
out of their pie holes.
Swift Boat Veterans for Truth is being financed by major Republican
donors, including contributors to Bush. And as for Bush himself, he's
not even condemning these lying, viscious hate-filed political ads.
This is what Sen. John McCain said, his reaction to those viscious
anti-Kerry TV ads:
"It was the same kind of deal that was pulled on me. I deplore this
kind of politics. I think the ad is dishonest and dishonorable. As it
is, none of these individuals served on the boat Kerry commanded. Many
of his crew have testified to his courage under fire. I think John
Kerry served honorably in Vietnam."
