Roadside bomb kills 2 U.S. soldiers in Baghdad; 23 Americans killed in
Iraq this month
BAGHDAD, Iraq, Aug. 12, 2006
(AP) Two U.S soldiers were killed Saturday when their foot patrol was
hit by a roadside bomb south of Baghdad, the military said. The deaths
brought to 23 the number of Americans killed in Iraq this month.
At least 2,601 members of the U.S. military have died since the Iraq
war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
