"A study suggesting that a Congressional clean air bill would achieve
greater pollution reductions than Bush's plan, at similar cost, was
withheld.
It does not take a genius to find the pattern here aimed at suppressing
information that might force Bush's friends in the oil, gas and coal
industries to spend more money on pollution control.
The report also criticizes the administration for stacking advisory
committees with industry representatives and disbanding other panels that
provided unwanted advice.
Why in the world would anyone in their right mind pay any attention at all
to a Congressional clean air bill. Especially one that says it would provide
greater pollution reduction at similar costs. Congressional anything is, by
definition, a clap-trap kluge of political sludge and special interest
whispering. The dead give away is the cost bit. Nothing Congressional has
ever come in a less cost than anything else.
Damn liberal Democrats have sunk so low they'd let congress handle clean
air.
