No to McCain! |
I do not doubt John McCain's courage; I seriously doubt his wisdom. I do
not doubt John McCain's perseverance; but must always oppose his folly in
his determination to pursue a silly course, calculated to prolong the War on
Terror for generations to come.
Given an enemy without a country of their own; without an army, navy or air
force; with only an ability to recruit a small number of fanatics, willing
to kill themselves in order to inflict harm on the citizens of legitimate
nations; what is the worst possible response to the threat that they pose?
Surely it is to glamorize them; to rhetorically suggest that they are the
defining threat of the Century--the age. Surely the McCain response is the
one best calculated to help that enemy recruit more cannon fodder to cause
mischief all over the Western World.
The correct response: Speak softly. Work with all established Nations to
isolate the terrorists--they are after all denying the sanctity of borders;
the legitimacy of all nations. And then quietly mop up Al Qaida, those
international criminals who threaten our citizens. No that does not sound
dramatic in a political debate. But the McCain course is too costly in
lives and treasure to be further indulged.

Character traits required to be a successful soldier are quite different
than those required to be the leader of the United States. Success in one
does not guarantee success in the other.
In this circumstance a soldier's mentality is unsuitable for presidency,
McCain is a war hawk, not what America needs in these troubled times. War
does not solve angst, war is for defense, not offense.

McCain was a naval pilot & got shot down & captured.
Being a prisoner is a tough situation but does not translate to being
president or Commander In Chief.
Voters think McCain is authentic. In what way is he authentic, because
he was a prisoner of war?
John McCain is a lot worse warhawk than Bush.
If you want endless war vote for McCain.
Wars invading countries of the Middle East represent America's worst enemy!
Self-defeating wars represent the ultimate terrorism & injustice that
spawns tons of hatred toward America!
The straight talking Express is a lie. "The Myth of a Maverick."
Authentic?

You hit the nail on the head, McCain lacks WISDOM in foreign policy!
WAR is America's ENEMY & everyone's ENEMY.
Barack Obama is the only one that can turn America in the right direction!
The third level of the Executive Branch has 15 departments "connected
'only to' the Executive Branch & the President"
Department of Defense *** the Pentagon *** Department of State ***
Foreign Affairs
A President Barack Obama would possess the requisite skills & talent to
set the proper image & tone for the Department Of Defense & Department
Of State & all U.S. Foreign Affairs embassies, consulates, and
diplomatic missions, that are located in more than 265 locations
worldwide, & also in Washington, D.C. - udarrell
