And you notice that the US pulled out troops and put pressure on the
Saudi government to crack down on the radical elements within their
country, which they have begun to do. One of the biggest reasons the
US was able to exert this pressure was because we did invade Iraq. It
put the entire Muslim world on notice that we are not screwing around.
That is why governments stretching from Libya to Pakistan are
confronting the terrorists within their own countries. By the way,
replacing the current Saudi regime would not help American interests
because the House of Saud is about as good an ally as we are ever
going to get from that country. If we went in and invaded, which is
what you seem to be suggesting, who would you replace the current
rulers with?
The USA still has troops in Saudi Arabia and they are still USA

to start getting used to.

the solar energy that hits it into energy stored in the chemical bonds
of it seeds. There is a real limit to the amount of energy that can
be stored in this manner. The maximum amount of energy in hemp plants
seeds can only be a small fraction of the total solar energy it had
access to in its LIFETIME. Fossil fuels such as oil and coal come
from tons of organic material that has accumulated over MILLIONS OF
YEARS and has been compressed and concentrated into a very energy rich
form. Hemp oil is nowhere near as concentrated a source of BTUs as
petroleum. You are not going to replace oil with fucking hemp seeds,
pothead.

oil from Saudi Arabia were to be subbenly cut off, there is no
alternative energy source available to pick up the slack. The cost of
energy in general would go through the roof, sparking massive

developed, but fossil fuels provide a very concentrated source of
energy whereas solar, wind and other renewable sources are very
diffuse, which limits their potential application. Currently there is
no alternative source that can significantly replace the role of
fossil fuels, particularly oil, in our economy. Maybe one day there
will be, but not today and not in the forseeable future.

Do you have any idea of the technical complexities involved with
removing crude oil from the ground or from undersea locations and then
refining it into useful products? I suppose not because you you are
clearly an uneducated dipshit. Let me just say it is not a mom and
pop operation because it can't be. Only the very largest
corporations, employing thousands of people can make it happen. For
that reason there are relatively few oil companies and they are large
but that is because THEY HAVE TO BE. They compete against each other
and they do not control the market price so THEY ARE NOT A MONOPOLY.
Let me explain how some of this ***** works. Say Exxon wants to
develope an undersea oil field that the geologist tell them contains
so many million barrels. They may calculate that the cost to build
the rigs and platforms and pipeline will cost them so many hundreds of
million of dollars. They may calculate they can produce oil at $25 a
barrel. When they develope that field they are taking a huge risk
that oil prices will stay above $25 a barrel, otherwise they lose big
time. You should be a little more thankful next time you fill up your
fucking Ford Fiesta.
