Norway contemplating joining the EU because of Bush's election. LOL!! |
Even Norway can read the writing on the wall. This is how much our old
allies trust us now. Amazing, simply amazing. I know if I were reading the
posts from rightwingers in here I it would certainly give me cause for
concern.
Bush's election has brought out their arrogance and unbridled desire to
quash all opposition.

Bush reelection could push Norway towards EU membership: PM
AFP: 11/3/2004
OSLO, Nov 3 (AFP) - The reelection of US President George W. Bush could push
Norway closer to joining the European Union, Prime Minister Kjell Magne
Bondevik said on Wednesday.
"If the distance expands between the two sides of the Atlantic I think that
many people in Europe, including myself, will see a need for a closer
foreign policy and security cooperation" between European countries, said
Bondevik, who figured prominently in the "No" camp when Norway rejected EU
membership in a 1994 referendum.

NORWAY contemplating joining the EU?!? Holy *****!! What the ***** are we
going to do??!! This is disastrous.
If there was any country in the world that could harm us more cruelly by
joining the EU than Norway, I can't imagine who that might be.
Oh, PLEEEEAAAZZE, Norway!!! PLEEEEAAAZZE . Don't DO it!!
BTW - where da ***** *is* Norway? They're over there by Thailand somewhere,
right? Are they the ones who make our Christmas ornaments? I've heard
"Norwegian Wood" by the Beatles. Did that have something to do with Norway?

Norway = Oil. Dubya likes oil. It's time to invade Norway, secure the
oil, and free the Norwegians from the secular heathens in the EU.

They need to - and the anti-EU folks better get with it - and get a

I've got news for you guys! The EU will never be a superpower and
will never rival the United States, economically or militarily. That
is something you will have to get used to! So sorry to disappoint any
left wing socialists out there dreaming of being part of something
nobody else wants! It is something that has been forced on the people
against their will, and, eventually it will all fall apart in a
disastrous mess. I wouldn't even be surprised if it led to yet
another war within Europe.
I just hope my country doesn't get any further into the EU, that's the
Union of European Soviet Socialist States, or in short Eurabia for
those that don't know!
As the Great Winston Churchill once said:
"We have our own dream and our own task, We are with Europe, but not
of it, We are linked but not combined, We are interested and
associated, but not absorbed." (Sir Winston Churchill)
And another...
"You can't unite people who have absolutely nothing in common" other
than the geographical area where they live! (Un-Known Ex-Chief
Ministry of Defence Official)
Here's another one for you that says a lot about what the European
Union stands for:
"Criticism of the European Union is akin to blasphemy and could be
restricted without violating freedom of speech" Advocate General at
the European Court of Justice (in case C-274/99)
And finally a great quote...
"The people never give up their liberties except under some delusion"
Edmund Burke c. 1790

The alternate universe you seem to inhabit must be a scary place. I seem
to recall democratic countries making their own decisions to join.

Strange then that all the norwegian socialists (especialliy the mor
erabid ones) are demanding Norway stay out of EU
because it is a capitalist plot against the people

I hope for your sake it stays that way. Right now, any one of you is

you will always become America's bitches when the screws start to turn.
That would make me uncomfortable.
