Thanks for posting this. I wish the TV news offered such a balanced
assessment of the news from Iraq.

The WSJ is hardly balanced news.
Further, one of the strong points mentioned in the article is that
'Elections are Scheduled' as if that was some sort of indicator of
progress. It isn't. Three guys in a back room probably scheduled them.
What kind of progress is that? None.

Twenty years from now when Iraq is a prosperous democracy, people will
look back upon George W. Bush the same way they do today with Ronald
Reagan; that he was a man of his times that chose to do the right
thing - and the world is a better off place for it...
When Reagan was tweaking the nose of socialist Russia and
'unilaterally' 'inflaming' international tensions - the same liberal
left democrat morons that today bash Bush were whining in exactly the
same way...and now today Reagan is revered as the president that
single handedly defeated the soviet nation states - and brought
democracy to that opressed people. Reagan was a GREAT MAN.
Twenty years from now - the same will be said of George W. Bush, while
the likes of Clinton and Kerry (who?) are vague memories.

Heck, by the time Reagan took office Soviet citizens were waiting in

why we must continue to route out and discredit those that would wish
