Not Kennedy; Not Clinton |
What benefit do some posters here get from trying to excuse present
misconduct by pointing fingers at Ted Kennedy or Bill Clinton?
The next time you're stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation, try
telling the officer you shouldn't be cited because of Ted Kennedy's
worse conduct. See how well that excuse works.
Similarly, when your wife catches you with your mistress, try telling
her of Bill Clinton's misconduct with Monica. See how well that excuse
works.

What misconduct would that be? Are you speaking of the new quail stamps

Without having seen the posts you are addressing, I will say that the
posters are not excusing the V.P.'s minor oversight. What they are doing
is pointing out that there is really no comparison to the egregious
behaviour exhibited by Democrat politicians for those trying to politicise
such a minor error.

That's right dumbshit. The longer you sit there waiting for someone to

I doubt if wrab is speaking about stamps for hunting licenses, the minor
error of shooting a person notwithstanding. Cheney appears to have used his
power to coverup the mishap and is deserving as much scrutiny for *that*
minor error as any of his predecessors in public office have received, from
Clinton to Kennedy to Nixon.

As I said, Cheney gave the impression that he had something to hide by
controlling how the story came to be known. That sounds like a coverup to
me. "What, if anything, was he covering up?" is a question for law
enforcement, congress, the press, etc to determine. I can't explain to you
why Cheney acts like a guilty person. Maybe that's just the way he is.

What benefit do some posters here get from trying to excuse
present misconduct by pointing fingers at Ted Kennedy or Bill
Clinton? The next time you're stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code
violation, try telling the officer you shouldn't be cited because
of Ted Kennedy's worse conduct. See how well that excuse works.
Similarly, when your wife catches you with your mistress, try
telling her of Bill Clinton's misconduct with Monica. See how well
that excuse works.
What misconduct would that be? Are you speaking of the new quail
stamps that hunters, at this time, get a warning for not having.
Without having seen the posts you are addressing, I will say that
the posters are not excusing the V.P.'s minor oversight. What they
are doing is pointing out that there is really no comparison to the
egregious behaviour exhibited by Democrat politicians for those
trying to politicise such a minor error.
I doubt if wrab is speaking about stamps for hunting licenses, the
minor error of shooting a person notwithstanding. Cheney appears to
have used his power to coverup the mishap and is deserving as much
scrutiny for *that* minor error as any of his predecessors in public
office have received, from Clinton to Kennedy to Nixon.
Accidents will happen and thankfully, the injured man is recoverd and
returned home. As for a coverup, what coverup?
As I said, Cheney gave the impression that he had something to hide by
controlling how the story came to be known. That sounds like a coverup
to me. "What, if anything, was he covering up?" is a question for law
enforcement, congress, the press, etc to determine. I can't explain to
you why Cheney acts like a guilty person. Maybe that's just the way he
is.
I see now. It is a matter of projection.
Missed. Nice try.
I beg to differ, but I hit the bullseye.
When you can't defend your argument, stay on point or counter logically,
attack your opponent. Didn't work. Missed by a mile. But, hey, you get an
opinion like everybody else.

A "hunter"/gunhandler who misfires and doesn't look before shooting is
negligent. Period.
An accident...yes. Negligent...also. As in...You "accidentally" hit a
pedestrian because you failed to have your car under control. Accident?
Yes. Negligence? That too.
The coverup was in the sequence of events in how and when the "incident" was
first reported and to whom, finally reported and by whom to whom, and the
contradictory statements by the alleged lie-witness, Armstrong. She is
purported to have seen "the whole thing", but her first statement in an AP
interview was (paraphrased) that when she saw the "activity, her first
thought was that something had happened to the Vice. She also claimed "zip,
zero, nada" as to drinking. Cheney admitted to "one beer" (sneer thrown
in). Add to all of that, the initial hairbrained, arrogant, ill-conceived
attempt to blame the victim for not following "protocol".

What benefit do some posters here get from trying to excuse
present misconduct by pointing fingers at Ted Kennedy or Bill
Clinton? The next time you're stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code
violation, try telling the officer you shouldn't be cited
because of Ted Kennedy's worse conduct. See how well that
excuse works. Similarly, when your wife catches you with your
mistress, try telling
her of Bill Clinton's misconduct with Monica. See how well that
excuse
works.
What misconduct would that be? Are you speaking of the new
quail stamps
that hunters, at this time, get a warning for not having.
Without having seen the posts you are addressing, I will say
that the posters are not excusing the V.P.'s minor oversight.
What they are doing
is pointing out that there is really no comparison to the
egregious behaviour exhibited by Democrat politicians for those
trying to politicise
such a minor error.
I doubt if wrab is speaking about stamps for hunting licenses,
the minor error of shooting a person notwithstanding. Cheney
appears to have used his power to coverup the mishap and is
deserving as much scrutiny for *that* minor error as any of his
predecessors in public office have received, from Clinton to
Kennedy to Nixon.
He did not try to cover it up, if Cheney had wanted to cover it

I suppose that makes you feel really good.
To set the record straight after someone tries to smear the good
name of my Vice President, yes it does.
Are you old enough to enlist? Your Vice President needs you.
I did my tour, why don't you step up?
It really doesn't matter to such as tenjets. If you have served in the

I don't mind them taking that lame tactic. It just shows that Chips and
Billys have nothing but their fear. They don't even even have Bush and
Cheney. They're on their own and think that their love (!) of their leaders

Fear. I actually do know and work with a lot of conservatives. They actually
fear being locked up if liberal took control of the land (as if the 50 years
prior of this warranted that fear). I am not making this up. Respect to you
if you're not one of those kooks.
Cheney's activities still need to be examined.
