WASHINGTON - More and more commuters are leaving home
earlier, traveling farther and driving alone, says an
analysis of commuting trends reported Monday.
The "Commuting in America" study by the Transportation
Research Board also found that more commuters are traveling
from suburb to suburb — rather than the traditional commute
from suburb to city."As more employers move out of cities to
be closer to skilled suburban workers, the suburbs now
account for the majority of job destinations," the report
noted.The board, part of the National Academies, has
analyzed commuting trends since 1986, largely using Census data.
According to the latest analysis, the number of new solo
drivers grew by almost 13 million from 1990 to 2000. The
number of workers with commutes lasting more than 60 minutes
grew by almost 50 percent over that period. And, compared
with the previous decade, more Americans are leaving for
work between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Let's see. American workers receive no pay for that long
commute. Now over 50 percent and GROWING of American jobs
can be done full or part time from home. Although the above
article is a growing trend and problem, control freak
managers and antiquated personnel practices will not allow
any work from home for most Americans. Although the Federal
and State Governments spread lying propaganda that they
support teleworking and alternate work arrangements, in
reality few people are allowed teleworking and flex time.
One study showed companies that allowed teleworking and flex
time had some of the highest retention percentages in
business and highest productivity. Studies show just one day
working from home (Teleworking) results in a substantial
increase in employee morale and quality of life.
Also, the IRS (Guvment) gets FIRST crack at your paycheck
BEFORE you do AND you pay TAX on the gas and the car and the
tires that get you to that job that allows the IRS and State
Government to take first crack at your paycheck BEFORE you
see one dime.
American workers are becoming Government slaves. Day by Day.

The next time you hear a politician use the word "billion"

(every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.
b. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans,
your home gets $1,329,787.
c. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.
Washington, D.C. ... HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators
broken??
