World Bank meets again to consider Wolfowitz's fate

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The World Bank board of executive directors was to
continue deliberations Wednesday on the fate of president Paul
Wolfowitz, after the United States reiterated its support for the
embattled bank chief.
Wolfowitz on Tuesday begged the lender's board to let him keep his
job, promising changes in his management style in the wake of a
damaging favoritism scandal.
However, a White House spokesman entertained "all options," an opening
interpreted by the US media as a sign of his imminent departure.
