Not even the right-wing distorter of news that you cite tries to infer that
Karr is a liberal. In fact, since the article states "Karr was initially
taken into custody in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges", and since most
people who are taken into custody on sex charges (albeit only briefly, since
they're also usually fairly wealthy and well-connected) turn out to be
conservatives, there is a fairly high probability that Karr is a
conservative.
