NYT REVIEW OF ABC 9-11 MOVIE
Thu Sep 07 2006 19:52:02 ET
NEW YORK TIMES TV critic Alessandra Stanley reviews ABC's upcoming 'The Path
to 9/11' in Friday editions, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE.
"'The Path to 9/11' is not a documentary, or even a docu-drama; it is a
fictionalized account of what took place. It relies on the report of the
Sept. 11 commission, the King James version of all Sept. 11 accounts, as
well as other material and memoirs. Some scenes come straight from the
writers' imaginations," writes Alessandra .
"Dramatic license was certainly taken, but blame is spread pretty evenly
across the board. It's not the inaccuracies of 'The Path to 9/11' that make
ABC's miniseries so upsetting. It's the situation on the ground in
Afghanistan now."
Alessandra concludes: "Hindsight is heartbreaking and disturbing to watch,
even in a made-for-television movie. But it's even harder to take when those
steps continue to contaminate the present."
==
Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war;
liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare
indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers.

The movie didn't mention a few 'facts':
1. That Bush completely ignored warning from Clinton and the CIA on
Bin-Laden.
2. That Bush attacked Iraq, that had nothing to do with 9/11.
3. That Bush let Osama excape from Tora-Bora in Afganistan.
4. That Bush's so called 'war on terror' has even failed in Afganistan.
The Teleban are back.
5. When Clinton bombed Al-Qaeda, the Republicans complained and bitched
about it.

There were no such warnings. Try not to cry.

Why would any of these be addressed by the movie, idiot? It's about the
run-up to 911. Better luck lying next time.

Yes there was - just talk to Richard Clarke. Or want another incident,
the PDB that Condi Rice got but ignored.

So, you admit to #'s 2,3,4, and 5? - that Bush and his fascist Junta are
nothing but screw-ups, who BTW are refered to by military personnel as
'numnuts'?
How about some more:
6. That Bush diverted resources from Afganistan in favor of an unneeded
war in Iraq.
7. That Afganistan is now in failure, with a teleban resurgance.
8. That Bush has allowed Pakistan to create a safe haven for the teleban
in one northern provence on the border with Afganistan.
9. That our troops there persue the bad guys but they duck across the
Paki border and we have to stop, by international tready, from just
going in and rooting them out.
10. Under Bush, Afganistan produces 90% of the worlds opium.
11. Under Bush, Afganistan has become as unsafe as Iraq.
12. Under Bush, suicide bombs and IED's have even moved into the
capital, Kabul.
