Once again Bush floats idea of THIRD TERM |
The GOP hired some flunky to say he's a Katrina survivor and call for
a Bush third term. Media shills loved it. We're being softened up for
the idea even though it's unconstitutional.

Katrina survivor calls for Bush third term
The president's not so sure, but promises to push recovery efforts.
The Washington Post - Thursday, August 24, 2006
WASHINGTON — Four more years? Rockey Vaccarella thinks so. President
Bush's own staff, though, isn't convinced.
The president hosted Vaccarella, a Hurricane Katrina survivor trailed
by a documentary crew, for coffee at the White House Wednesday to
demonstrate concern for those still afflicted a year after the storm.
Vaccarella, it turned out, had another idea in mind as well.
"I just wish the president could have another term in Washington," he
said as cameras rolled on the South Lawn, where the two appeared
together after coffee.
"Wait a minute," Bush interjected with a laugh.
"You know, I wish you had another four years, man," Vaccarella said.
"If we had this president for another four years, I think we'd be
great."
Bush did not disagree, constitutional term limits notwithstanding. But
his spokeswoman later made it clear that in a White House exhausted by
war, terrorism and all manner of disasters, both meteorological and
political, the idea of a third term didn't stir much enthusiasm.
"Believe me," deputy press secretary Dana Perino joked, "I think staff
thinks that two are plenty."

I think so too, but I didn't think so at the time, so I won't
say I did. However, during his second term I have come to realize that
he's ALL about total crooks, frauds, etc, and doing whatever he can to
buff up their bank statements, and that he apparently either wants to
see the middle class eliminated or doesn't give a damn about it. As
for my thinking two is too many, what I mean by that is that his *****
ought to be kicked out DURING his second term. Why would anyone get to
stay when they're doing NOTHING for average Americans, 1/100th of what
they promised to, etc? It's WRONG.

Funny, when a socialist dictator actually does what these geeks say

Like I often say about the Bush hating cult: "Hate is no fun
if you keep it to yourself."
What you have here is people who hate. Mindless seething
baseless hatred for Bush. Like born again zealots, they must
constantly reinforce their hatred and try to recruit others.
Since they have no real reasons, they make them up. And since
they're stupid, they run out of reasons all the time, so they
resurrect old ones like this one. You have to love it when they
bring up something like this a year later and say "ONCE AGAIN
Bush floats idea..."
Funny, when a socialist dictator actually

has just had himself declared dictator of Venezuela.
As long as he keeps saying bad things about Bush, he can do

Yep it's certainly not entertaining to see Bush lying when
he speaks.
I see, you're going to play the "I'm too stupid" game. So let
me be completely clear.
You're a liar. Bush never said that. You know he didn't and so
do I. You lied.

about a third term and the President laughed it off. But

(snip)
I think two is too many.
I think 1 was too many.
It's WRONG.
Not only has the Bush administration not accomplished what they
promised, they have done the very opposite in spades.
Bush is nothing more than a mouthpiece and puppet for the Cheney gang.
He is not an intelligent thinker. He is surrounded by un elected
people who are responsible for the administration's policies.
In reality, America is controlled by a shadow government. There has
always been an element of this in American politics. But under this
administration, it has been taken to new (and dangerous) heights.
If America does not elect a strong opposition to these forces and
start taking control, the US will be destroyed from within.

The trouble with you people is that you lack a sense of humor.
The guy said it, probably in jest, because he knows Bush can't have a
3rd term.
Bush's response was definitely in jest. He will not "seek a
3rd term" any more than Clinton did, back when the crazies from the
other side said he would.

If they ever get around to changing the Constitution, the term of
president should be changed to one six year term. That way whoever
gets elected isn't wasting the 2nd half of his 1st term trying to get
reelected.
