"Republicans are taking aim at House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi,
D-Calif.,
for saying that taking out Osama bin Laden would not 'make us any safer,'
"
reports the Air Force Times:
The rhetorical volley began when Pelosi, who stands to become Speaker of
the House if the Democrats recapture that chamber in the November
elections,
commented Tuesday on the effort to capture or kill bin Laden.
"Even if he is caught tomorrow, it is five years too late," Pelosi was
quoted as saying. "He has done more damage the longer he has been out
there.
But in fact, the damage that he has done is done. And even to capture him
now, I don't think makes us any safer."
We're not sure why the Republicans aren't embracing Pelosi's comment.
After
all, if capturing bin Laden wouldn't make us any safer, that means
President
Bush has already succeeded in neutralizing the threat.
No, Bush has failed to catch the criminals for 5 years, and has thereby
exascerbated the threat.

It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which the
liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn our military
victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad for them, it's
failing.
It's even more breathtaking to see the fascist right-wing media trumpet
Bush's murder of civilians and his crony capitalist thievery under cover of
a bogus "war on terror".
