From the Desk of:
Steve Elliott, President

8/17/06
....,
I am thrilled to report that as of Thursday afternoon more
than 70,000 petitions have reached the White House urging
the President to pardon Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean,
the two U.S. Border Agents who face upwards of 20 years
in prison for apprehending an illegal alien at our border!
++ 100,000 petitions needed before August 22
...., flooding the White House with petitions is a
great way to impact this case, but we wanted to do even more.
That is why we are planning to send at least 100,000
petitions and personal comments directly to Agent
Ramos's attorney, Stephen Peters, before next Tuesday's
scheduled sentencing.
When contacted, Peters expressed tremendous thanks, and
urged us to continue rallying grassroots support for these
two agents, saying "These men are deeply appreciative of
your prayers, petitions and support. Thank you for what
you are doing!"
He also assured us that agent Ramos would see the petitions
and the comments when they arrived!
++Action Item #1--Alert your friends
...., over these next few days we are calling on all
members of our team who have already signed this important
petition to help us reach 100,000 citizen petitions
before next Tuesday’s scheduled sentencing.
Please forward this message to 20-30 of your
friends urging them to add their name to our
petition calling for these two border agents to be
pardoned. Click here to sign:

Remember, in addition to each petition being sent to the
White House, we will be sending them to Stephen Peters,
the attorney for Agent Ramos!
Please take immediate action on behalf of these two men
by forwarding this message today!
Thanks for taking immediate action with me.
