President calls for purge of liberal lecturers |
http://www.guardian.co.uk/iran/story/0,,1865729,00.html
"Today students should protest and shout at the president asking
why some liberal and secular professors are still present in the
universities," he told a gathering of young scientists. "Our
educational system has been under the influence of the secular
system for 150 years. Colonialism is seeking the spread of its own
secular system."
While acknowledging it was difficult to change this system, he said:
"Such a change has begun."
.....
The president has really lost it now, hasn't he? I mean .... a purge
of liberal lecturers? He's gone completely out of his mind. Can you
imagine the president ....... wait a minute ..... it's *not* the
American president? What? It's the *Iranian* president? How come the
Iranian president is sounding just like those crazy neo-conservatives
in the U.S.?

They got him elected with their axis of telegraphing their punches.
