The Creoles, Mestizos and Mulattoes of Spanish America were all great
supporters of the American Revolution. They all sent money if they
could afford it, many of them showed in the thirteen colonies to
volunteer. Many Haitians also showed up to volunteer.
As colonials themselves, they felt that they had a stake in it.
And what La Raza publication did you read that in? The average peon of
Spanish America didn't even know that the Revolutionary War was
underway, nor that it had taken place until years later.
Not true at all. Information did travel more slowly in those days and
most poor people were uneducated. But many people did get to know
about it and were excited about it because it held the promise of
freedom. The slaves in Haiti certainly did get to know about it. Rich
Cuban women sending money and Haitians showing up to volunteer are
documented facts. Use the Internet to do the research.
You really ARE full of *****, aren't you?
Besides which, Reagan was talking about American Citizens who happened
to be of hispanic descent -- not foreigners.
If he mentioned the American Revolution, then he was talking about
foreigners.
The typical viewpoint of La Raza trash.
The American Revolution is a war between England
and soon to be "USofAmericans". Btw, England and
France recruited from their respect countries
and Spain recruited from the local "Americans".
Given the soldiers were home grown, wouldn't that
make the Spanish armies more American, que no?
