Putin: U.S. Policies Create Arms Race
MUNICH, Germany (AP) --
Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Saturday that the United
States' increased use of military force is creating a new arms race,
with smaller nations turning toward developing nuclear weapons.
Speaking at a conference of the world's top security officials,
including the Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani, Putin said
nations "are witnessing an almost uncontained hyper use of force in
international relations."

CAIRO, Egypt - Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview aired
Monday that the Bush administration does not have the vision to bring
peace in Iraq and that his country could help calm the crisis if
approached. Assad told ABC's "Good Morning America" that U.S.-Syrian
cooperation was the "last chance" to avert a civil war in Iraq -- but he
said he wasn't optimistic that President Bush would seize the
opportunity and talk to Damascus.

BAGHDAD, Iraq -
Iraq invited officials from Iran,
Syria and other neighboring nations to Baghdad next month to discuss the
security situation in the country, a government official said Thursday.
The Foreign Ministry official, speaking on condition of anonymity
because he was not authorized to disclose the information, said the
talks will be the first of 10 such meetings to take place in the Iraqi
capital. Iran was the venue for the last meeting in July.
Along with Iran and Syria, Iraq has invited Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan,
Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Turkey to the discussions. The Arab League,
Organization of Islamic Conference and the
United Nations also have been asked to attend, the official said.?
Syrian President Bashar Assad stressed his country's eagerness to
promote Iraq's security, stability and territorial unity during a
meeting with Sheik Harith al-Dhari, head of the powerful Sunni
Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq, the official Syrian Arab News
Agency report Thursday.

He'd let Monty run over him for three years, which led to a series of

Not surprising that the same thing would happen during his undeserved

Yeah, thats right, Dwight lost WWII. Oh, my bad, he won. He was Supreme
Allied Commander.
What you have here is the destructive way the right wing deals with
critizism. Rather than admit they have made mistakes they lash out,
violently. Poor little babies. Right now every American should criticise
Bush and most do, however there are about 15% of America that would defend
the Bushster even if he was found with a dead prostitute and a smoking gun.

Don't underestimate the Russians. Both Napoleon and Hitler made that
fatal mistake. No one's really beaten them since Genghis Khan, and
even he had to make some deals.

Yes, by the U.S. attacks on countries w/o Nuclear weapons, that sends

You can say the same of the Afghans and, except for Alexander, the Persians.
There are a lot of people out there who are just not going to roll over.
