Question about Columbus Day |
Hello
I'm from Canada so I do not know the answer.
In the United States, is Columbus Day a holiday at the same level as
Thanksgiving in November and Christmas in December?
I know that for Thanksgiving and Christmas, almost everyone has the day
off but I thought that Columbus Day was just a special day but everyone
still went to work as usual.

Not quite up there with thanksgiving, but Columbus was a known liar, thief
and some say historians say muderer, so he is almost at the level of
Thanksgiving but nowhere near xmas.

Except for hearing the mention of it, I've never noticed any special about
or for Columbus Day.
