No, as a matter of fact you are correct. In fact, Bush made it pointedly
clear that this war against Terrorism would be a long war, that it would not
be easy, and that it would be a war quite different from wars we have fought
in the past. If anything, the current administration made it abundantly
clear that this would NOT be a walk in the park.

Not like any other war? Yup, you're correct. What war in the past did
the president use partaniship as much as Bush? In what war in the past
did the president blantatly push no-bid contracts to his campaign
contributors? In what war in the past did the president end up
destroying the National Guard and Reserves?
As far as it being a long war, it'll last as long as Bush is in office.
