God I love this newsgroup, the sheer naivity...
Why does everybody have such a hard time dealing with reality ? Stakes,
plans, schemes, interests, strategy, tactics, deception and disinformation,
all is fair in life's war, and there's no love lost.
Has anybody read SunTzu, Caesar, Machiavelli, von Clausewitz ? (Rethorical
;-))
Power, politics and ethics have nothing to do with each other, power uses
ethics in order to justify it's actions to the population it feeds on,
politics to publicly further its cause, and the military as a hunting dog
to fetch the occasional dumb turkey for Christmas.
When you go see a football match, do you expect the two sides to negotiate a
draw before the match ? Now how much fun would that be ?
Corrupt to the bone and marrow.
That is the verdict.
