The essence of terrorism is being entirely missed. Terrorist acts are
committed by individuals. One guy with a backpack or small tote bag can
blow himself up in a mall and terrorize millions. The 9/11 attacks were
carried out by 19 guys with box cutters -- acting in a very loosely
organized way.
Al Qaeda is not one monolithic organization. It is an aggregation of
autonomous "cells," even the members of which may or may not know each
other. Each cell acts on its own, and each member acts on his/her own,
with
some general coordination and much the same motivation.
We were not "safe" before 9/11 and we are no safer now. That no further
attacks in the US have happened indicates simply that no one has wanted
sufficiently to carry one out.
Bush simply has nothing to do with any of this. Osama bin Laden is
playing
him like a fiddle. Bush never mentions bin Laden now because bin Laden
makes him look like the idiot he is.
Osama bin Laden is also playing Carl Levin like a fiddle. Levin is a
supposed "expert" on terrorism, since he is the ranking Democrat on the
Senate Select Intelligence committee, yet Levin has been caught totally
flat-footed every time there has been a terrorist attack for the past 20
years!
Elected in 1978, Levin displays NO intelligence, select or otherwise,
concerning terrorist attacks. He was TOTALLY useless when our embassies
were bombed, repeatedly, during the Glorious Clinton Years. Levin was
TOTALLY useless when the USS Cole was bombed during the Glorious Clinton
Years. That Democrat was TOTALLY useless when the World Trade Center and
the Pentagon were kamikazi attacked in 2001.
Levin hasn't done one single thing concerning Terrorist attacks, other than
***** and moan and blame others afterwards, which shows what an idiot
Democrat Carl Levin, of the Select Intelligence committee, truly is.

It is important to recognize these well-known, but not widely accepted or
understood facts.
First, terrorism has never been a major threat to America. Even in the
exclusive, tragic 2001 more than 15,000 Americans committed suicide, but
only 4,000 or so died from terror attacks. This means even in 2001 Americans
were more of a threat to themselves than the terrorists were to them. In
comparison, as JAMA claims, some 250,000 Americans die unnecessarily every
year due to medical errors, poor health care, bad medications etc., but who
cares, right?
Second, Americans killed more people in Afghanistan and Iraq in one year
only, than all the terrorists of the world killed in all countries at all
times. But who cares, right? The facts I am stating are "unpatriotic" and
"politically incorrect", isn't it so? Spreading fear and sending more young
Americans to die for nothing is both patriotic and correct, right?
