Oreilly is a Johnny-come-lately to the issue of immigration (a battle
already fought and lost by real Conservatives in the '90s) I suspect
that much of the attenuations that you hear from talkradio windbags
like Oreilly, Savage and others are insurance against real
conservatives for shilling on behalf of Wars meant to benefit Israel
at the expense of U.S. interests.
Conservativism has nothing to do with the kind of Wilsonian nation
"building" crap being sold to the American public that Oreilly
tolerates. He says good things about the ACLU but much predictable
shilling for Israel's interests, such as the coming war with Iran.
Oreilly follows the NeoCon tactic of attacking their former allies on
the antiwar left in a not-so "fair and balanced" manner but more
importantly: He works for Rupert Murdoch who also owns the
NeoCon lie-rag: "The Weekly Standard"......'nough said as concerns
a real Conservatives vs. neoCONservatives.

I'll only appreciate his debates featuring Scott Ritter. That was
informative and widely missed on most of the other News shows.
He even showed some class when he had him on for a last word
after we failed to find any active WMD programs in Iraq. But a
conservative icon ?...........Nah.

I doubt if "Mr Conservative" is likely to come down on the Bush
administration for it's spending like a Lou Dobbs will. I'll take
Dobbs over Oreilly any day.
