The sick thing about this whole war is that without oil, America will
not be a superpower. Thus we either act in our interests, or quit being
a superpower. Of course, I'm for the latter... less money, more peace
of mind, but I know the voters won't buy it.

If we believe in oil=superpower, then we've already spelled out our own
doom. How long is the oil going to last? How long can oil-hungry
nations play this game before two big ones come into conflict with one
another?
energy=superpower. The time to tool over to solar, wind and geothermal
is yesterday if we value the planet and want to prevent WWIII.
