There's no message worth responding to! Just another kook conspiracy
theory being passed off as fact. I'll bet you believe the stupidity of
the "october surprise" too.
But not without precident, I refer you to 1980/1 Iran and the later illegal
amrs sales to keep the Iranians quiet.

Which of North's rights were violated? His right to lie in his teeth? His
right to rob the public blind? His right to ***** on the Constitution?
I didn't call anything about North a technicality.
I didn't mention the October surprise, dipshit.
For a rightwinger, all is co-incidence for Reps. and all is conspiracy for
Dems. It may make you feel good to be an irrational *****, but it makes you
look like an irrational *****.

The constitutional right of North were violated and you call it a
technicallity. Still no proof that the arms sales to Iran had anything
to do with your fantasy of an october surprise.
No one made that claim françois.

Take a closer look at the thread that you quote. The claim is clearly there
that the arms sales were a bribe to keep the Iranians from exposging the

early 1980's were to cover up the deal Reagan and Daddy bush made with Iran
to hold the hostages until after the election of 1980. The reference to

François genuinely believes that the 1986 sale of weapons to Iran was to
get them to cover up the upcoming "October Surprise." See, Reagan was
such a visionary that he knew that the son of his vice president would
need the Iranians' help some 18 years later. WOW. Reagan sure had that
vision thing.

exposging the october surprise.
Are you as stupid as this makes you seem? The Iran arms gifts/sales in
the early 1980's were to cover up the deal Reagan and Daddy bush made
with Iran to hold the hostages until after the election of 1980. The
reference to these events was to show that an october surprise
arranged with the enemy is not new with the republicans. They are
making the arrangements now (bush baby) and have done so in the past,
bush daddy. Please seriousily tell mer you are not as stupid as your
post here makes you appear and that your post was intended to be
tongue ion cheek.
François genuinely believes that the 1986 sale of weapons to Iran was to
See that is where the Contra link muddies the water here, the actual sales
began much earlier, I think early 1982. They did not get caught until 1986
when leaks about it started coming out of Israel as they wanted to broker
some of the deals (for a commission). Due to the contra link and the time
of discovery people think it was over the hostages in Lebanon, but had
actually begun before the first Americans were snatched in Beruit. That is
what gets missed in discussions, the original deal had nothing to do with
the kidnap victims in Lebanon, it was a pay off for the holding the
hostages thru Jan 1981.
get them to cover up the upcoming "October Surprise." See, Reagan was
such a visionary that he knew that the son of his vice president would
need the Iranians' help some 18 years later. WOW. Reagan sure had that
vision thing.

I remember the hearings very well and you need to find a way to
reconcile your claim with that of North.
Dude, North committed a federal crime. He operated an illegal foreign
policy without the consent of the Executive (Reagan: "I do not recall";
Bush: "I was out of the loop."). Why would you take the word of a man who
committed treason?
BTW, can you show us a cite where North makes a claim that contradicts
Rico's?

What mindless drivel.
1) Kerry did not give aid and comfort to the enemy.
2) Nicaragua was not a Communist state.
3) The "men" North rushed aid to planted landmines in schoolyards and
tortured peasants.
4) North's actions were in direct contravention of the Constitution of the
United States.
5) Money for the aid came from selling advanced weaponry to Iran, an enemy
of the US.
6) No inconsiderable portion of that money was funneled to North's and
Secord's bank accounts.
7) It was the North cabal who sold "precursor elements" for chemical weapons
to Saddam Hussein; those became the "WMD" you now say he shouldn't have had.
8) Congress was fighting to preserve the Constitutional balance of powers.
9) Reagan's certification of the Contra as not violating human rights was
universally rejected by the international community,Congress and anyone who
knew the first thing about Nicaragua. The "soldiers" were Samozista thugs
who turned to drug dealing when Chamorra disavowed them.
10) Literacy rates have fallen virtually every year since the election of
Violetta Chamorra; poverty rates are unchanged, the Mesquite have continued
second class citizens in a very, very poor country. But no-one is
suggesting help for peasants, so all is well, eh?
