Al Quida knows they were NEVER in Iraq.... except for Ansar al-Islam
which was not in the zone Saddam controlled but under the protection
of the US No Fly zone. Of course that didn't stop Powel from
pretending they has some connection with Saddam.

The TRUE message Bush sent to the terrorists is that Bush can easily
be DISTRACTED from fighting them. Bush is easy to read. He cynically
uses events as pretenses to carry out programs he's determined to
enact. He did so with tax cuts for the wealthy knowing they would not
do much to stimulate the economy.... but he falsely portrayed these
tax cuts as an economic stimulation package.

Same with Iraq. Whether it was oil, a family grudge match, or
whatever, it's clear to Al Quida, even if it's not clear to rightist
dunderheads, that taking out Saddam would NOT affect their operations.
It gave them breathing space. While it's clear to Al Quida, even if
it's not clear to rightist dunderheads, the US invasion created a new
Ba'athist resistance movement which will do much of Al Quida's
fighting for them and keep the bulk of the US military bogged down.

While it was clear to Al Quida, even if it's not clear to rightist
dunderheads, Bush is so much into his bait&switch that in his State of
the Union speech he didn't even bother to mention Bin Laden... the
person responsible for 911. But watch out terrorists... we got
Saddam... the guy who did NOT attack us!!

Paint it anyway you like but after Afghanistan Bush's war against
terrorism is as unfocused as it is insane. Al Quida is probably
cheering Bush's arrogant
stupidity.

One thing is for sure, you are cheering anything that appears to be
