It's you Democrats who need to begin proving yourselves, not the
Republicans. They win the elections, you Democrats don't. Thus the burden
of proof falls on you Democrats. Unless and until you Democrats can begin
selling the people on the merits of the Democrat Party over and against the
Republican Party, things are likely to stay as they currently are - the
Republicans in power and the Democrats being the losers.
It will hardly suffice for you Democrats to sit around, smugly demanding
that those who are ALREADY in power and who have ALREADY won the minds and
the hearts of the voters justify THEIR having won. No, it is up to you
Democrats to begin selling the Democrat Party. So far, nobody's buying what
you Democrats have to sell. All your Party seems capable of doing is
attacking the President. That hardly qualifies as "leadership skills" or
"effective vision for the future" on the part of you Democrats, you see.
