Gore had a huge, ultra-sophisticated organization. Howard
Dean is running a bootstrap operation. A website does not
an organization make, especially not on election day, when
you have to be able to round up the mentally retarded,
the homeless, the paroled felons, the infirm, and the
insane and get them to vote at least once.
Dean appears to be reaching out beyond the mere Democratic
vote-padding, traditional-fraud, portion of its electorate (which
also
includes children, pets, and corpses along with illegal aliens).
The only thing beyond that is the 50% of the electorate
that doesn't vote. I don't think that Dean has what it
takes to wake that block up.
Plus most of that 50% vote Republican anyways....
At the least, he's interesting,
He is? I guess when he's standing around with the likes of
Kerry, Lieberman, Sharpton, Edwards, and Gephardt, the
very fact that people haven't really had their fill of him yet
would tend to leave him in some decent light. But if you
examine the man, he's annoying. In fact, he reminds me of
Chris Dodd. He sounds like a third-string DA carping
on about the threat of teenagers drinking beer in the mall
parking lot.
Yes, but I find his *voice* less annoying than Lieberman's, who always
manages to sound like he is whining, even when he is not.
which cannot be as greatly claimed
for the other dwarves in the Democratic field. (Hillary Clinton
right
now is in an even better position that Mario Cuomo was all the way
up
to November, 1992.)
Hillary could stab the family dog to death and promise to use
nuclear weapons as if they were hand grenades and most
of the "antiwar" Left that's supporting Dean would roll in
the aisles and speak in tongues they'd be so elated.
<grin> VERY nicely put, Sir!
