It's Time for a Name Change
Democrats Flee Peace Protests

By JOSHUA FRANK

http://www.counterpunch.org/frank09262005.html

I have been thinking for a while now that the Democrats really should sit
down and consider changing their mascot from a donkey to a marmot. A

rodent

really is more emblematic or their provincial habits than a donkey could
ever be. Think about it. Just this past weekend antiwar rallies were held
across the country and the Democratic leadership was nowhere in sight.

They

had high-tailed it out there. They hid in their holes and were afraid to

be

seen.

Maybe they are figuring out that association with kooks isn't the best way
to get elected... :O|

Maybe one day you will read the US Constitution or get someone to read it to
you and maybe you can comprehend what America means to 99% of the People.

I didn't see where it says Bush can start wars, ruin the economy, allow
historic inflation rates,

What historic inflation are you imagining? Are you completely out of your
alleged mind? (That was a rhetorical question since it is abundantly clear
that you are a nut case.) And the latest report I've heard are that the
economy is healthy. It may not be after the reconstruction and after the
Iraq War is done, but that's what economists are saying. Maybe you know
better? No. You don't. You're a raving lunatic in addition to being an
idiot.

appoint cronies etc., violate FCC and other Laws
but I did see where it says Americans can persue happiness

No you didn't. You lie. That's not part of the Constitution. What you are
referring to is part of the Declaration of Independence which is not a
document of law.

(free health care, gay marriage, abortion on demand, hate speech codes,

affirmative

action, or any of the other pet crusades of liberals & rightists).

No Constitutional scholar agrees with that at all. Actually, not person
with any common sense or education would agree with that nonsense. But then
again, it has already been established that you're both a liar and a nut
case. In your case, that may qualify as multi-tasking.

You don't get it. Gays getting married, abortions, free expression and

free

speech aren't YOUR BUSINESS.

Free speech is everybody's business. Limiting free political speech is a
matter of law and is something he can't do. then again, he isn't trying to.
Once again (or perhaps in the interest of accuracy I should say "As
always"), you're full of *****..

If you don't like those issues, ignore them.

Easier to ignore your ravings because they are so absurd.

What historic inflation are you imagining?

Health care costs are steadily rising at rates of 9% to 15% a year.
Energy costs aren't far behind.
Housing inflation is insane.
Food isn't far behind either.
Although consumer electronics and such "toys" have largely been
deflationary, ditto junk clothing and day to day items such as
Wal-Mart carries. So on the average it doesn't look that bad.
Never mind that such averages don't mean much to those who don't buy
such items...for them inflation is very real.

And the latest report I've heard are that the economy is healthy. It may
not be after the reconstruction and after the Iraq War is done, but that's
what economists are saying.

Depends on the economists really. Economists are great at seeing
historic patterns in the present day and drawing conclusions based
on the results of those patterns. Such was all well and good,
except for about the last decade in which the economic numbers are
all wacky (that's a technical term). No patterns fit and the result
of such is that economists are really all over the map on how they
view the economy. From best ever to edge of disaster and everything
in between.
The smarter economists are looking outside the US for historic
patterns, such as to Japan. Much of what we see today *has*
actually happened in the past, just not to the US. But the outcomes
are still likely to be very different for the US people
are...hmm...very unique.

I guess you've somehow managed to miss all those times when we disagreed on

But it doesn't. And that makes you dishonest.
Thus 'Branson is wrong, of course.' And so are you. Your smug attitude

always bad. I'm unapologetically arrogant myself... with good reason.)
But, since you know everything, tell me (by quote of my posts) what my
fantasized "right wing agenda" is.
Take you time. I'll wait. I'll even help you out a bit. I support the 2nd
Amendment to the US Constitution. (If it a Democratic position to not
support he Constitution?) I also consider the Iraq War a huge mistake. I
am not a huge GWB fan and even less of a fan of Sec'y Rumsfeld. I support
abortion on demand and favor subsidizing he procedure for low income women.
I strongly oppose the Religious Right and have often said so. (Those quotes
I was talking about.) I support decriminalizing of recreational drug
possession and use, not much bothered if a few junkies kill themselves in
the process. I strongly disagree with GWB's position on illegal
immigration. (Do you support illegals and other criminal activity? I
don't.) I also support huge fines for companies knowingly employing
illegals and smaller (albeit significant) fines for companies unknowingly
hiring them.. While I have a feeling that the indictment against Tom DeLay
is mostly *****, I'm not all that unhappy about him being knocked down a
peg. I think the tax cut was handled (and structured) badly.
And I think you are an idiot, and Branson is a verified liar and hypocrite,
not to mention an extremist. (He gets all bent out of shape over the proper
use of the term "illegal alien" even though that is the precise term
utilized in the U.S. Code.)
Now, go ahead and quote from my posts what you fantasize is my "right wing
agenda."
I can hardly wait.

liars. And this may surprise you, but I don't even bother to read most
of the crap you post - the only exception is when you are replying to
something I said.

The fact is that you do have a right wing agenda, and the three of you
have been known to work together as kind of an attack-dog pack. And I
base my opinion on the discussion's we've had, not ones invovling
Branson. I simply assume that the way you treat me is the way you
treat anyone else you think is a "lefty liberal" or whatever the hell
it is you call anyone to the left of Atilla the Hun.

Thus 'Branson is wrong, of course.' And so are you. Your smug attitude
does not change what is actually so. (Not that being smug and arrogant

is

always bad. I'm unapologetically arrogant myself... with good reason.)

The "good reason" is that you are a fool.

<rest of this idiot's post snipped>

So when challenged to substantiate your lies, you can't. Why am I not
surprised?
When exposed as a liar, you simply deny and avoid... as if your lying isn't
obvious.
And that why you are ridiculed.

I guess you've somehow managed to miss all those times when we disagreed

matters of substance. That's a tactic you use to make your unsupported
position appear to have validity.

But it doesn't. And that makes you dishonest.

In case you didn't notice, you're responding to my post, not Jafo's. (Real
perceptive there, Bill, as usual.)
And one might ask how you come to the conclusion that a pack of lies exist
in posts you claim not to even read. And again, if you don't bother to read
anybody posts, then how do you claim that we don't disagree on matters of
substance? So if you make silly claims based on posts you don't even read,
that supports my notion that you're dishonest... at least according to your
own words.

The fact is that you do have a right wing agenda, and the three of you

Oh, goody! Another prejudiced, brain dead idiot. QUOTE my right wing
agenda. None of your idiotic interpretations. Cite QUOTES from my posts
supporting your idiotic allegation of my alleged "right wing agenda." This
will be good since virtually NOBODY who has been challenged to support this
kind of stupid claim has ever been able to substantiate it by quoting
anything I've written. Go ahead, Bill. This should be good.

The "good reason" is that you are a fool.

The good reason is that I shred dishonest idiots like you (rather easily and
incontrovertibly) for my own entertainment as I have shredded you in this
post.
Once again, I challenge you to cite actual QUOTES of mine to support this
silly notion of yours. That you are unable to do so, the logical conclusion
is again that the fool is you and that you are (still) dishonest.

<rest of this idiot's post snipped>

Since you do nothing but make idiotic sweeping generalizations that make no
sense, it's no wonder that you'd avoid dealing with things that completely
invalidate your non-argument and show you to be dishonest. That which you
snipped clearly shows my *lack* of right wing agenda. So naturally, you
avoided it.
And that's what makes you dishonest (and an idiot).

The Pervert laid down this "tough" challenge:

QUOTE my right wing
agenda. None of your idiotic interpretations. Cite QUOTES from my posts
supporting your idiotic allegation of my alleged "right wing agenda."

How about

In which you confess that you're a Republican, "not a fag". For
whatever, not entirely explicable, reason (probably stupidity and/or to
be closer in "touch" with your target demographic, Pervert) the venue
in which you chose to make the declaration of your bias public was

It wasn't the only time you took in hand the sticky task of
establishing convergence between your partisan leanings and the
underworld of men who wear women's lingerie for pleasure and relief.

This will be good since virtually NOBODY who has been challenged to support this
kind of stupid claim has ever been able to substantiate it by quoting
anything I've written.

Or this discussion on the relative extremism of your Republican
leanings :

Which for reasons unknown you decided it would be germane to post this
revelation to alt.swingers
But then, just to be on the safe side or to even things up under your

inclinations on God in

This should be good.

It should really, shouldn't it ?

Egads. Old Bob's a transvestite. Not a fag, just into hose and W. Eww.
Is this the same bnoble as the one who was really bad as an extra in "Gone
Fishin'" ? I searched Google Images for a recent pic but the only one they
had was of him wearing a cheap loud tie at some Cambodian bombing reunion
shindig. Is "swinging" in fishnets at advanced age and girth okay with
today's GOP?

Maybe, if it's the same one featured as Tryer ***** or at least
one (or 2) of Sheriff Jafo's Merrie Men in "Hood: Men in Tights"

I wouldn't know, and have desire to find out "the hard way" how
