S.O.R.Come to find out Gore is a major stockholder in Occidental
oil.How much ya' reckon Alpha Male made on that??
Also notice how not one single Democrat has called for a cut in either the
federal OR the state taxes on gasoline, even though THAT would reduce the
cost of gasoline to LESS than it was when Clinton and Gore were in office!

Further increasing the deficit, which is what your proposal calls for,
would raise interest rates, reduce investment, lower future
productivity, and reduce future economic output.
Just as our recently passed tax cuts will do, according to the experts
who work for the Republican-chaired Joint Tax Committee.
I know that getting Bush reelected is far more important to you than
the long-term welfare of the country, but that is not a view shared by
many Democrats.
Giving people information about the full costs of driving might help.
Most people forget when they drive ten miles farther to go to a
cheaper store, that they probably eat up the savings in greater gas,
accident, repair and maintenance costs. What would help would be to
include insurance costs with the price of gas. That would save tons on
the middle-men who sell auto insurance, it would assure that all are
insured, and it would help people focus on the cost of driving. Those
with an accident would be assigned an insurance company by lot, and
the insurance firms would be paid from the money collected at the
pump.
Andrew Tobias was right about that.
He's a genius.

One day, a hundred years from now, when all the oil is gone, your
great, great, great great grandchildren will look back and wonder what
on earth we were thinking, using oil to burn for gas. Oil is needed
for plastics, lubricants, 1000 vital uses. WE could be getting our
electricity from wind and solar power, hydroelectric power. Someday
people will look back and wonder why we were so stupid and wasteful.

Does this mean that when all of the oil is gone there will be no
more K-Y Jelly? A real pity if true.
