I'd love to see one Democratic Presidential candidate pledge to get rid of
all laws that allow states to pass "Right to Work" laws. The federal
government has no business busting unionization, and widespread unionization
in the USA would put the brakes with all this "free trade" *****.
Intriguing idea but it will have to come from a third party - I can't
see any democrat proposing it. The odd thing is that we are in one
of those situations where radical ideas - or ideas like this one
that might APPEAR radical to todays "thinking"
is the key to victory and would distinguish a REAL candidate

How could anyone believe that an annual 760 Billion dollar trade

impossible.
And yet it is happening.
The industrial base and the economic policies that made the US supreme
from 1945 - 1985 have been purposefully dismantled. And a suicidal

I can't figure out why the US public has allowed this subversion to

Well I have no puzzlement on why and how it happened-
the three D's - doubletalk, distraction and disinformation
explains all:
Doubletalk by carefully shifting context,
touting anti-americanism as a boon to corporations
and "free trade" (sic) an our natural right to particapate
freely in "world" markets while quietly and openly
subverting the former Immigration and Naturalization Serivce
and opening the floodgates with a huge "WELCOME"
sign to 30 million newcomers (YES, I SAID 30 MILLION,
NOT THE OFFICAL FIGURES WHICH ARE MUCH LESS).
A corollary of this is that anyone who opposes
these ideas is depicted as an anti-patriotic
reactionary or "isolationist" who would hurt
the poor corporations from being able to compete.
Distraction - whenever it appears that the public is
catching on to the charade that is being played
and is about to focus on real issues of fundamental
and immediate strategic import, the Roveian bureau
and many others like him go to work- SUDDENLY
its stem cell research, the right to have a cross
on city hall property or should we have the
word "god" in our pledge of allegiance that
become major issues thus cleverly distracting
people from far more important things
like HOW THE HELL IS SOCIAL SECURITY
SYSTEM, ALREADY BROKEN, GOING TO
WORK WITH THE 30 MILLION NEWCOMERS
HERE?? Take a good look at what
the congress prior to November 2006 accomplished -
not much eh? Well, there was that National ID
card that was tagged onto the end of a defense
apprpopriations bill by the representative from
Wisconsin, a democrat who knew the thing
would have been rejected in a second if it
had been exposed to popular scrutiny.
Disinformation- having a little trouble
finding out what's going on, eh?
Well you can thank outfits like MSNBC,
FOX news and many others. First it
was weapons of mass destruction that
required us to go to war in Iraq, next it
was that if we did not stop the terrorists
there, they would somehow start
comming here and then the Bush adminstration
started to tell us, with a straight face
no less, that we were going to
send our fine men and women to Iraq
to die so that Iraq could be free
and could become a democracy.
The historians of the future are
going to shake their heads in amazement
at that one. This is just several of the
endless streams of nonsense, half-truths,
outright lies, evasions and and syruppy
patriotic assurances the keep comming
from Mr. Snow and the Bush adminstration
and the Republicans and the Democrats.
This, coupled with the popular surge of patriotism
after 9-11 which was EXPLOITED by the Bush administration
for their own ends, made the implementation of the
neo CON mens' agenda a piece of cake.
Luckily for America, two major things happened
which inserted a fly the size of a rhinoceros into the
proverbial ointment. First, a crazy foreign policy,
to go along with the crazy
self destructive economic policy was implemented
leading directly and purposefully to the "war" in
Iraq - a war so central to the President's credibility
that he was willing to loose BOTH houses
of congress AND destroy the Republican party
for years to come in order to continue it.
Growing number of people began to question
not only the war and its pseudo-justifications
but then also question Bush's economic
policies and the unfortunate vapor
that underlies its "reasoning" too.
The complete ABSENCE of a viable
health care plan well into the Bush presidency
was exposed by no less than Arnold
Schwatzenegger causing the president
to quickly tout his "tax cut" for people
with health care plans and CONVENIENTLY
IGNORING THE NEARLY 40% of the country
that has none. Likewise Bush's "No Child
Left Behind" nonsense does nothing to rectify
the fundamental premises of the vast social
warehousing experiment that constitutes
the bulk of American education except that
now, there is NO factory jobs and will be
no Army openings for the masses of
students prepared for such things
by our century old unmodified docility
training centers otherwise known as
the Public School system.
Secondly, one fine day the new arrivals to this
country decided to "demonstrate" in many
major American cities, some of them went
so far as to start carrying a Mexican flag
in the parades (though the organizers
soon put a stop to that) - and the newsmedia
had to report these events and the jig
was up - for the first time, though they
had had a growing vague suspicion that
the immigration was out of control for some
years,
the full extent of the problem became
known and understood to the majority
of Americans and so everyone began
to understand why our cities' roads were
falling apart, why hospitals emergency rooms
required a 1 or 2 hour wait, why schools
were falling appart, why cities infrastructures'
were collapsing as the outsourcing of jobs
of the middle class, combined with the influx
of new low wage earners triggered the most
massive federal, state and local fiscal crises
in the history of our great country, crises
which have not even begun to be resolved
as the full import of the neo "CON" men's
designs become easily and horrifyingly evident.

It's a pyramid scheme. Alan Greedspan spelled it out rather clearly, but
nobody appeared to listen. As long as you do not care about the
preservation of the flesh and blood nation once called "America", there
really isn't that much to worry about. Well, other than having the
Constitution destroyed.

Republican F. James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin was, in my opinion
and unless I am mistaken,
the creator of the de facto National ID aka National driver's license

This, of course is easily done, when media has been heavily
monopolized and controlled.

card that was tagged onto the end of a defense
apprpopriations bill by the representative from
Wisconsin, a democrat who knew the thing

But notice the dual tracks operative here.. it was a win-win set-up
for the neocons..
Rejected - the illegal labor source would have continued unrestricted,
while passed it imposed yet another restriction upon American's
traditional rights of not being unduely infringed upon. There is no
other way a draconian 'Your papers, Please', could have been imposed
on Americans.
Disinformation- having a little trouble

Serial lieing; Lie one, lie two, lie three.
And the american public for the most part, sits there like poodle dogs
waiting for the next hoop to jump through.
This is just several of the
endless streams of nonsense, half-truths,
outright lies, evasions and and syruppy
patriotic assurances the keep comming
from Mr. Snow and the Bush adminstration
and the Republicans and the Democrats.
But mostly I blame the Republicans - who have fallen to bottom dweller
status in allowing the US to be coopted by crooks.
The Democratic complicity (or not) will be made clear by the 110th
Congress.
This, coupled with the popular surge of patriotism
after 9-11 which was EXPLOITED by the Bush administration
for their own ends, made the implementation of the
neo CON mens' agenda a piece of cake.
As I sceptically commented on 9-12, "Catastrophies provide exceptional
opportunities".
Unfortuinately, I was right.
Luckily for America, two major things happened
which inserted a fly the size of a rhinoceros into the
proverbial ointment. First, a crazy foreign policy,
to go along with the crazy

leading directly and purposefully to the "war" in

Growing number of people began to question
not only the war and its pseudo-justifications
but then also question Bush's economic
policies and the unfortunate vapor
that underlies its "reasoning" too.
As I've tried to point out, the neocon agenda started a long time ago
- circa 1985.
This current administration appears to constitute the maturing of that
agenda; the 'rewards phase' of the game.
The complete ABSENCE of a viable
health care plan well into the Bush presidency
was exposed by no less than Arnold
Schwatzenegger causing the president
to quickly tout his "tax cut" for people
with health care plans and CONVENIENTLY
IGNORING THE NEARLY 40% of the country

Something like 42 million citizens have no healthcare..up from 32
under Clinton.
But actually that is not entirely true either..
Why? Because that figuire does not include the millions of illegals
that do access US healthcare..
And because all of those people, legal and illegal, go to county
health hospitals to get free or almost free healthcare - that
ultimately the US tax payer has to cover.. Or the hospital goes
bankrupt.
Likewise Bush's "No Child
Left Behind" nonsense does nothing to rectify
the fundamental premises of the vast social
warehousing experiment that constitutes
the bulk of American education except that
now, there is NO factory jobs and will be
no Army openings for the masses of
students prepared for such things

A system that caters to the lowest functioning students - not the most
capable and promising for a future successful US. Besides the Feds
don't even have a constitutional right to interfere in education.
Secondly, one fine day the new arrivals to this

My vote for the obverse design of the "new" currency for the NA Union
would be
Chariman Mao shaking hands with George Washington with Ho Chi Minh
looking on approvingly behind them.
On the reverse, a picture of the American Eagle with a dragon standing
over it -
it is not quite clear if the dragon looks friendly or is about to eat
the eagle
and the eagle looks over its shoulder, quizzically. In the eagle's
talons, instead
of the usual arrows and flowers are Asian IOU notes in one talon and
an empty talon asking for more loans in the other. Both feet of the
eagle
are stuck in a large pool of oil leaking from stacks of cans nearby.
In the upper left hand corner is the pyramid, as usual only tilted a
bit so that
you can see masses of people being protected (or squashed, it is not
clear which).
