Nope Gore lost in Florida, as recount after recount showed. Gore also lost
in Tennessee, his home state. In fact, that humiliating loss of his own
home state cost Gore the presidency. It's also worth pointing out that
Gore was a sitting Vice President at the time. Normally, sitting Vice
Presidents do very well when they run for the Presidency, so these were
especially humiliating defeats for Gore and the Democrat Party.
