Ed, I am answering both of your last two posts in this response.

That's good. I couldn't take reading my stuff a second time! <s>

After having read your responses through I have feel that you have made good
points.

Thanks, Ron. One of the things that EVERYONE should see about Freemasonry is
that amongst members we can almost always come to a reasonable resolution of
things provided our hearts are in the right place. There was never a doubt of
that when I looked at what you were doing.

Indeed. That is what you were taught in Masonic initiation rituals:
Even if your "brother" commits a crime,
you still stand on his side
and never 'disclose' such a crime to officials
or anyone else for that matter.
As far as "when I looked at what you were doing",
what he was doing is basically a crime.
Forgery is crime.
To forge, you have to have a criminal mind.
Simple as that.

If I misjudged you as passive in such things (and I was not speaking of
you exclusively when I said that) I apologize.

It's the old 'Japanese warrior' thing or something. Gnats like Nukie think
that we're weak

I do not have to think what you are.
I KNOW what you are.
Simple, ain't it?

but, in reality, our maturity and our moral superiority

Moral superiority?
Zig heil!
Enough.

will
win out every time. Since idjits like him don't understand the concepts, s/he
can't see it. As a result, their rantings fail to elicit even a modicum of
interest from anyone except other idjits - and because _they_ don't want the
competition, they often head to more fertile fields.

If there are, as you say, solutions and methods at work in the
background that I was unaware of for dealing with these jerks - I will
again apologize for misjudging the situation and admit when I am wrong.

I'm not really sure that it's 'background' particularly. When someone starts
ranting about Pike and the KKK, for example, it's easy enough to post a link
to pages both Trevor McKeown (Grand Lodge of British Columbia) and I have
developed to address this. Mine is simple and written to be read at about the
7th grade level; Trevor's is extraordinarily well-written and has enough
background data and detail to keep even the most intrepid researcher happy.
Between the two, those who're harboring even a glimmer of thought that Nukie
might have a point other than the one on his head will go there and check it
out. I've been horribly tied up for the past few weeks but will have pages on
Nukie, Brian Boggs, and a couple of others done quite soon.

And since you mentioned that there is a method being deployed in the
background I will optimistically watch work.

Don't just watch: join in!!! Put together some information about Nuksie's
bizarre claims. The constant rant about the letter to Mazzini, for example: do
a write up on the falseness of it - and I'll toss it on my website so everyone
can benefit from the research. Talk to Mike Wells and see if you can figure
out why the notorious anti-Masonic publishing company, Charles T. Powner, was
able to publish Darrah's work. (Did he die without kin, for example? Was he
under the belief that they were good guys? How did that happen?)

EVERYBODY chipping away at these little bits and bobs and then having them all
together really creates a whole that's greater than the sum of the parts.

In short answer to your question regarding my reason for forging his posts,
ther answer is simple. It obviously irritiated the heck out of him. If it
didn't, he wouldn't have bitched about it like a baby girl in every single
post to follow.

Oh, I understand. It does provide some visceral enjoyment at times but when
you think about it, it really is more like staring at an automobile accident.

If he is going to try dilligently to irritate everyone on a daily basis,
I felt he should get some of it back.

I'd argue, though, that instead of irritation, he actually got _pleasure_ from
the attention. In reality, when you told him to 'put up or shut up', he whined
like a baby even more. THAT was the really telling part.

I also found it odd that when I posted level-headed answers to
people questions under his name he became particularly irritiated that
the Usenet archives would now maintain a record of him having somehow
sounded somewhat rational.

But look at how it confused the audience - including two Masons in a row! When
you did it, it would make people actually spend their time on 'his' (your)
posts because they couldn't look at the headers and tell which was which.

Or perhaps he simply hates it when his posts are actually spelled
correctly (giggle).

I tend to think the speech affectations are for effect - although in reality,
his English level really is on par with someone who was booted out of high
school.

I don't know. It could be either. But it was pretty obvious that it was
irritiating him and I felt that was the least that he deserved.

But it's like poking a rat in a corner. All he can do is squeal - and it
really doesn't better you or society.

At any rate, again, I will default to your method and apologize for
regarding it as passive. I was not aware that there were methods being
deployed outside of Usenet to swat this mosquito.

No need to apologize at all, my Brother. The gnats will always be around here
but our behavior should always be - as much as humanly possible - so as to
reflect the good in Masonry.

It's my privilege to know you all these years!

Fraternally,
Ed King

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to
the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have
to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce
pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country
to danger.
It works the same way in any country.
