Kerry's political base is neither concerned, or moved by this.
Obviously the problem for the Republicans is not to dwell on Kerry's
failures, but to set the facts straight about Bush, his accomplishments,
what he stands for, and more importantly, the threat that allies against
America. This includes the Jihad itself, the anti-American sentiment
breeding in Europe, and the disadvantage afforded us in a politicised
UN, at the hands, and to the advantage of France.
Kerry is well intended on many things, particularly with his emphasis
for joining in with Europe. This has huge risks for America. Just try
to buy a Buick or Chevy in Europe, and learn to appreciate this with
respect to most American manufactured products - we are generally not
welcome there, while our dollars are. American economy and jobs be
damned. Thinking Democrats here should sort this out for themselves,
beyond the rhetoric from either party. At least Nader understands much
of this - while I personally disagree with his politics and means to
address the problem (imposing further burdens on American corporations
to protect American jobs), treating the symptoms rather than addressing
the real problem - Congress.
