Subject: Re: IRAQ WAR WAS UNJUSTIFIED
I go back to remind us of the historical context that existed not to
make this political.
Both parties as well as many world leaders over a 12+ year are on
record that Saddam was a threat with WMD.
Additionally congress approved of the action in Iraq.
As I pointed out previously it does not take many lies to get congress
to
approve of a war. Remember a young teenage Saudi girl telling congress
of
the stolen incubators? Crying real tears as the lies flowed from her
lips?
She was not even in the country.
Yes I was paying attention just clueless of the events.
As best I've seen over the years public testimony before congress is not
designed (or does not) change the congressional represenatives vote. What
it
seems more geared for is public opinion or support. I'm sure whatever war
we're refering to that you seem to believe started with some teenage girls
tears, did not. Congress had probably already made up its collective mind
on
this, this girl testified so that come next election represenatives could
have a poster child to tell the public this was the right thing to do.
Or has this fact been washed away.
Because you have indicated this seemed to be a lie (of which I cannot
debate
because I not aware of the event) and because this testimony probably had
little or nothing to do with influencing the outcome of congresses vote.
The
matter became irrelevant and pointless. Again an event not to change the
will of congress but our support of the war.
I see
that the link I have is no longer available but it does not change
things.
Intel has been disqualified over and over or do we now believe what ever
one
cares to believe. It has gone from 'We know where the WMDs are' to
Sadam
"WOULD" have used them and wanted to and will if given the chance and
and
and and. The truth regime change should start at home.
Again I'll ask why wasn't WMD found?
Probably one of the reasons is because although Kerry voted to authorize the
war (and indeed, has already said he would do so again, even if no more WMDs
than have already been found were to be found) but voted against *funding*
the war. With half-hearted efforts against Terrorism like that, so often
turned in by liberal Democrats such as John Forbes Kerry, it comes as no
surprise when anti-terrorism efforts are only limply made by the Democrats.
Why does GWB and those of us that do support him have to make these
changes?
As Kerry might put it, "Think of it as a nuance, William."
Simply put as the truth and fact begins to reveal itself the weight of
truth
and fact begins to lean closer to: What intilligence indicated as the
truth
Gee, for a minute there, I thought you were going to begin addressing
Kerry's lies about his Vietnam service record in general, and his imagined
"excursion into Cambodia for Christmas", William!
