Apparently the last minute LA Times bombshells against Arnold are
backfiring - over 1,000 cancel subscription in protest.
Los Angeles Times Editor John Carrol defended the coverage's timing by
claiming the recall's timing made it necessary. Also denied working with
Davis camp.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Los Angeles Times has had about 1,000 readers
cancel subscriptions and been "flooded" with angry letters, calls and
e-mail
protesting its coverage of Arnold Schwarzenegger's alleged sexual
harassment
of women, it reported on Sunday.

Just in passing, given LA, what % of total subscriptions are represented
by
1000, and any info on the follow-up rate of people who say they are
cancelling a newspaepr subscription? That is, of those who say they are,
how
many actually do?
Most industry estimates are that for every 1 person who writes or calls to
complain, there are approximately 100 people who feel the same way. Given
that estimate, the fact that 1000 people have canceled their LA Times
subscriptions means that there are (roughly) 100,000 people who are VERY
upset with the Times' unbalanced coverage and yellow sheet journalism. Not
exactly an "insignificant number", I would say.
The entire Democrat Party Machine (which apparently includes the New York
Times and the LA Times) is starting to come unraveled. People are becoming
fed up with Democrat Party Tactics.
